gas hogs...

S13 13B'd is a great idea... imo for smaller cars like this, the 13B really shines as an engine that can kinda go into anything... IIRC the 20Bs arent much bigger are they? and produce an assload of tourq and HP. (the 20B DMC comes to mind)

not to bum the idea, its cool, but I honestly like our FCs more for style...

i hangout with many many 240s with sr20s and CAs and i always catch hell for having a rotary.....but what the hell i can always out handle any of them.. +1 for a 13B in the 240

I catch hell by all my friends for driving a rotary. Still isn't going to change my mind about them, though. I definitely think the 240 needs a rotary. While we are at it, let's get some 3 and 4 rotors in some Vettes, since they are always corrupting our cars with their massive engines.

If you want something cheap, light, and handles good why don't you just buy an older miata and throw a 13B in it? They make assloads of aftermarket parts for them and you can pick up an early one for $1000-$1500.

I have always wanted to do that. Well my next project will be even lighter than a Miata and make some pretty decent power. The easiest way to make a car fast is to make it light!!!

cuz miatas look like ****... and i already have two s13's in my driveway.... and the one cost me 1000 and its beautiful and a perfect candidate for my madness.... lol

i have a few concerns about this swap though.... like the cooling issue, throttle, obviously the mounts and driveshaft....

Cooling really shouldn't be an issue at all, just get a Koyo rad for the s13 and your done.
The motor mounts really shouldn't be that hard either.
Once you have everything mounted in place, you'll have to take some measurements and have a driveshaft place make you one.

It sounds like an awesome project, let me know if you need any parts or help!

I am paying less for insurance for my TII FC than my buddy pays for his S13. I'm paying about half what he does.

Because the Yamaha head on the 1J outflows just about any head on the market.

i dont doubt i'll need help with it.... what do i do about the throttle? how would i go about setting that up?.... and the driveshaft... my biggest concern.... is there anywhere in ontario that i could get a one-off aluminium one piece driveshaft.... i'm not worried about the cost

I'm not entirely sure about places that make custom driveshafts, but let me look into it.
I'm sure we could modify a stock Turbo throttle cable to work with the Nissan pedal, maybe it wont need any modifications...
Check out my sig and give me a call if you need help

it shouldnt be too hard at all to find a place to get a custom driveshaft. go to just about any repair shop and ask them for a good place to get a custom driveshaft. either theyll be able to do it there, or they could recomend you to somewhere.
