12a project

hi, i just bought a reliable 1985 12a rebuild off my friend. i want to put that motor in my 1985 chevette.it cam with the aternator, beehive, and the intake manafold and carburetor. i was going to take the off to clean the motor up abit and to clean the carb. but in afraid if i take the carb off im not going to remember where stuff goes.

aslo would the brake booster and the hydraulic clutch setup work in my car.

where could i find a book or something to tell me where to coolant and old lines go

get a hanes guide for a car with the motor ur useing . it should have all the info for hooking it up ect. i would go with all the stock brake parts for that car you can, i could be wroung but the car your putting the motor in is pretty heavey compared to a rx7 and it mite not be able to stop it.

I dont know if you mean you are going to put the RX brake stuff in or not, but I would keep the vette braking system and find a way to hook the vacuum line for the brake booster to the RX manifold.

I would recommend running the RX transmission, so you would need to use the clutch master and slave to operate it. This is the easiest way to put it in the car, without having to do bellhousing work to mate your vette transmission to the RX engine. You will also need a custom driveshaft.

Dont forget your engine mount bar, I think it is called subframe?

Feel free to correct where I am wrong.
