Yeah! It's a shame that someone felt the need to treat him like a little kid and scold him for getting defensive when people doubted him. Now nobody can benefit from his knowledge.

I'm 50/50 on whether they (Yellowcat?) were genuine or not. The language used didn't sound like someone who was that knowledgeable on fabrication/engineering of that level. I only read up to around page 4 however and I am no engineer. Never gave him grief though as it was a really interesting thread.

Read trough this http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/g...pump-gas.html? He is the real deal! I guess after working on a project for many years you are kinda reluctant to let out certain details.

It would be nice if only people who actually know what happened would post in this thread, intead of speculation.

He asked me to delete his thread because of some of the nasty happening in it. Nothing more, nothing less. The thread is soft deleted so it can be restored in the future if the OP wants it restored.

His profile is still active and he still visits the forum.

He told me in PMs that he'll be posting more as the developments happens but didn't want future posts tainted by how weird the first thread turned out.

It was just a simple matter of a bunch of misunderstandings in the first thread and it would be easier to start fresh.

Anything is possible. It all depends on how much time and money you have at your disposal. Apparently they have A LOT! More power to him if he can build it. I'd love to see a diesel rotary.

As would I! Think of the torque and the sound it would make.
I bet we could have our own thread on just how he transfers all the power to the tranny

We r all dicks... too smart for our own good. Honestly sit back and think about questions asked and how we each try to pick someone apart if we don't clearly understand their plight!

have heard of this guy's work before, hopefully we get some trickle down tech from his R&D

I wonder what ECU controls this beast

All rotary designed engines have lower torque to hp comparative to a big block, on our engine the torque on the naturally aspirated 1440hp version peaks at 6800 rpm at 900 ftlb, yes that is alot lower then the hp. But think about it's still 900 ftlbs. The turbo charged version does not have as drastic of a swing in torque to hp. At 2400 hp it will have around 1900 ftlbs.

The lack of low rpm torque on these engines is part of the reason we designed the two speed transmission a few years ago, and now that we have it tested and have twelve of them sold and running we don't have to worry about not having enough torque to get on plane..

I'm sorry, you guys can kiss his *** but I'm not. It was his fault in the first place by posting some broad with an eshaft with no explanation and then later posts a picture of his motor with no info or video's. So yah, me and many other people did not take him seriously. HOw many *****'s have posted stuff like this before and turned out to be just a bunch of bullshit?

Why is it so hard for him to start the post with the picture and a video of his engine running and give some info on his project? That would at least get some buyers interested and people would have taken him seriously. I know I would have.

It's very easy. Start a thread like a grownup and get treated like one. I have started many many threads and aside from a few smart *** comments have had no problems. It's all in the way you start and post a thread.

the fact he posted here at all surprises me, on a forum of know it alls and doubters

you doubt when a 18 year old kid working out of his bedroom posts ****, this man is a professional and he was treated like some kind of idiot

Then what will happen? he will say I can make xx product and it will cost $xxxx and a bunch of broke idiots who had no intention of purchasing xx would talk **** about how much it costs and that will be the end of that conversation as well.

Firstly the owner builder sales rep is saying its not a mazda rotary well then why in bloody hell is it 960cu ie a divisor of 13B 654cc rotors? So they copied the 13B eccentricity and width! Sounds mazda to me even if they made their own rotors which I doubt.

Next they have designed their sales plan around no oil injection. Haha these motors are gonna be coming in for 12 new rotor housings, apex seals every 400 hours of running time. Thats if they are lucky and don't throw an apex seal through the $4000 turbocharger you would need to strap to the side.

Sounds cost efficient to me

seriously dude? A guy machines his own 12 rotor engine with his own tooling and you check him on whether his sales rep refers to it as mazda or not?

"Well it's a one-off over 1000hp that no person on the planet has ever done before. Aw you copied mazda's eccentricity! who cares"

Give me a ******* break. You better have one SERIOUS 12A. I'd leave too....
