that RX3 does not include an engine according to the description.

yep, the most reasonable option would be to buy my RX-2, yep yep.

ah, sneaky bastard. I didn't know how to tell if it's real or not. We should "contact seller" for that one and inform him Misrepresenting stuff on ebay isn't cool.

maybe he changed the rear tailights and removed the stripes etc etc. OR it could be a SP drivetrain swap like my 75 RX-3.

i talked to him and he says it really is an SP. He is going to have more prictures to prove it. What is not-SP about it?

Jaime Enriquez -- thanks! I am in Capitola as a matter of fact

I'll miss the RX-2 but things are such that I need to sell it soon It's a nice car, hopefully an enthusiast will buy it and restore it.

I think all 1977 and 1978 Rx-3s were Rx-3Sps. You could opt for the special stripe and spoiler option package (around $400) which was added on at the port of entry. All cars had the RX-3Sp badge on the side (only passenger side for some reason) and mechanically were identicle whether or not the car has the appearance package.

the center panel was changed beginning in 1976. yes, the only way to determine if this is an actual SP model is to check the VIN and the rear-end (non-SP have long-nose diffy/SP are short like the 1st gen). SP is a special package which includes drivetrain, stripes, louvers etc etc. Without it, its only a regular RX-3. I could be wrong also.

Didn't the SP models also come with a different intake manifold?
