You can always do temp work if you are willing to take an entry level manual labor job. Minimum wage buys a lot of gallons of gas, unless you drive a rotary car to/from work, lol.

Rebuild engines for labor pluse parts, so that come to about 12hr/480$ and what ever parts it needs and that could be the killer becouse I'm not going to put in any thing just to get it by and have it fail. So as a price list most of you guys can find them listed by some body on the net

You might seem overqualified to most employers....... sometimes it happens when you have so much experience they feel they couldn't meet your asking price. A welder guy I worked with had this happen to him. "So, what kind of experience 'ya got" they asked him in an interview. "LBCC welding program graduate" He said. After that, the interviewer proceeded to walk him out the door!

The nerve, it sucks, but you just have to down shift some times. I can live fine on minimum wage, I did it for over a year when I built residency status before coming to college.

But hey, it's your call. I personally can't stand waiting to find a job, I just go get one to stay busy, even if it is a one day temp job, it's still wages I didn't have the day before.

There is not such thing as being over qualified.

"Overly qualified" is a bullshit phrase that cheap employers us to justify not paying what a person is worth.

Lol, yes it typically means "we are unwilling to pay what you will expect". A lot of companies are like that because they're all profit driven. Unless ones higher wage brings in a correspondingly higher profit to the company which meets or exceeds the wage difference, having someone who is "overqualified" is a money losing scenario.
