WA wide body car options/color

all who have been following by build have an idea on what it will look like. just wanted some opinions on the final paint scheme. Talking with the painter today getting a good idea of how to finish the car to be different than most. The opinion from him was to do a mono color.

not to hip on the idea but his thought was to do everything in body color including the wiper arms and all window trim. no black off set at all. I was thinking on doing a window tint and black window trim........any thoughts? All are welcome as I am still looking at options, guys chime in and tell me what you think. A cream wide body will be odd to begin with, am I wrong? thinking It will be a one off, just thinking outside the box. I respect all responces here so let me know what you all think, I really want this to stand out at a meet.
Thanks

Joe

Ive seen pictures of a mode 1 car in all black.. and I was in love. That's the route Id go, but t sounds like you want something a little more colorful.

My thoughts on black and all dark colors....they are insanely hard to keep nice with this regions weather. I own a detailing shop and we see hammered factory dark finishes all the time.

If you do go with a dark color never use anything even remotely coarse to clean the paint ie: a cotton towel/wash mit, wool anything, or any type of paper product. Always use a microfiber and some sort of lubricant to prevent any type of friction until you are ready to shammy the car or wax.

Also, and this is highly recommended after any paint job!! Get a paint sealant after the paint is cured and then apply an automask/starshield etc film over the leading edges of everything(bumper, mirrors, hood, door cups, front roof edge, fenders, etc...)
The sealant is applied after a polish to the paint and then will lay down to make a nice layer of permanent protection that seals pores and protects against most types of pollutants. Plus bird shat, and bug guts wash off way cleaner!! The mask will stop all rock chips in the area it's applied and with any fiberglass body parts it's a must. If the paint isn't flexible enough any impact on that fiberglass will spider or chip instantly without an actual physical barrier.

I know this doesn't help with colors but at least you might have an idea what your in for with something dark and the fiberglass panels. Lighter colors conceal tons of defects/swirl marks/dirt etc.

Do you have any sponsors or anything for the build? Depending on usage maybe now might be the time to try and market the color to them or even try and gain a sponsor by putting together a rendering of what could be.

Lastly don't forget about vinyl. Paint it glossy any color and then throw on whatever design you can think of with vinyl. Figure the lifespan is 4-5 years depending on the care you take of it and then peal it and have minty fresh paint still or just put another design on.
Problem is that it's pricey..figure $2k'ish for a full car package installed. But remember anything goes as to designs.

Lol hope I didn't make it more complicated for you.
