turbo 6 port???
well thanks for the reply but i was just woundering why its not smart and why isnt it easy to tune. i thought behind it is that i know you can turbo a vtec motor or ivvtl motor.

i will prove it!!!!
wow people... i have turbod so many 6 ports in my town and they hold up fine. i like to experiment with rotary motors and what work my last 6 port was alll expermental i haed a 6 port with aftermarket turbo,3 peice apex seals, bigger injectors fmic piggyback and retarded timing it ran fine in 6lbs i ran the motor for 1yr2months of really hard driving i mean i was not nice at alli boosted 6 lbs the firts 3 months and then i boosted 10lbs for 4 months the n i turned it down for the winter i then ran the 6 lbs for another 5 months and i drifted and draged everywhere then i ran 16lbs for 2 months too see how long it would last well it did for 2 months and it was fast!!! i did all this because i have so many parts i dont even know what to do with them and i could just build another motor. i am now running a 6 port with 550 prim 850cc fd sec injectors with a full fd lower and upper manifold my 5th and 6th ports are combined making huge ports the primary ports are the exact same to a stock fd center iron this motor is crazy im telling you and alll on 9:4:1 comprression and rotary aviation two piece seals. now think here most t2 guys are putting these rotors in tehir t2 blocks why because they work fine greddy didnt make a bolt on turbo set up for a rx8 for nothing andi it has 10:0:1 compression 10lbs of boost and works like a kitten i have proven what some of you think is a bad idea well its a great idea. Red_Rabbit86 do it its fine just low boost on a 3 peice apex motor

wait turbo876 you saying you cant turbo a 6 port? and since we are talking about turboing engines has anybody known of a person taht have turbo a 20b? like know of any dyno or has videos on youtube
Right, forgot about the Renesis, which has both 4- and 6-port versions.
And Red_Rabbit86, the 20B came twin-turbo from the factory. There are a bunch of 20B vids on YouTube and Streetfire. Here's one:

it can be perfectly safe. im running a 6 port turbo right now. keep in mind if u start with a shity high milage motor its not gonna last very long. ( i have proved this theory... RIP 200K motors haha...)

Obviously you don't own a 6 port turbo. I love my 6 port turbo NA. Here is my dyno thread running 4 psi, putting down 184.5 HP on the stock interheater and turbo.
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=677566
It's nice to have more power to the ground than the stock t2 would have at the flywheel running only 4 psi. But then again I did my NA-T the "Right way".
I have the turbo:
ECU
Wiring harness (not required)
Injectors
pressure sensor
modified stock T2 LIM to match the NA's 6 ports
UIM, throttle body, intercooler turbo, turbo manifold,
transmission
rear end
clutch + flywheel
strait catless exhaust
my friend natural smooths down pipe
and other little things I have forgot...
anyways I basically had the car setup for turbo because.. well was turbo before I put the NA 6 port in.... well thats not true... it was stock NA then ... NA again, then NA again, then turbo, then turbo (thanks to jenkins!) then NA-T!
I like having NA-T because I only have to buy s4 NA short block if my engine blows and they are cheaper than t2 blocks. It obviously produces more power on less psi. And its somewhat something different.
I don't see why tuning would be an issue if you used the stock t2 ECU and injectors.... You can still use a stand alone, piggy back, or rtek if you wanted to. It's not like the extra .4 compression makes it impossible to tune, or always on the brink of predet. s5 t2 compression Ratio is 9.0:1, s4 NA is 9.4:1, s4 t2 is 8.5 :P
I have no clue why it wouldn't be smart.... but maybe you're not smart unless you own a 3rd gen?
( I wish I had 1.... did you ever get it running jenkin?)
Sooo it should really be...
Possible : yes (and easy)
Smart : yes (if you have access to the correct parts or a blown t2 car)
Easy to tune : yes (just as easy as turning a t2 would be)
Fun to drive : yes (if you like to be sideways
)
If you have any more questions on 6 port turbo, let me know. I'm happy to help!
