I have a strait pipe No cats at all. and stock muffler. I know i wont pass emissions. Unless i ran it lean and hooked a leafblower up to it. But somthing tells me they would see the leaf blower.. I had it registered to a hotel at one time forgot what town or city it was. I just named one up north east somewhere in BFE.. Now i cant remember where it is. Anyone have tips on how to pass emissions or what hotels i can register this thing at? Btw if you have an address Besides the Mental hospital or police station i can register this thing at that would be awsome.

Thurston/Lewis and Kitsap counties in WA are emission free. I'm sure more are as well, but that's just my neck of the woods.

BTW I cant post in the parts section.. Im restricted.. SO im not going to play the posting game ... I need an OIL cooler. aftermarket or stock. needs to be in good shape.. I also need someone that can make a custom tranny bracket. I did the 5speed swap from the auto. I made temp bracket out of Rubber and Plastic ties.. Not sure how long that will last...

Here's what I did for the longest time when I was in Pierce and King counties. Register the vehicle as non running and you got the exact same reg and stickers as a normal car. No emmisions testing no spending 15 bucks extra. Just fill out a pink paper(ecology form i think) and then walk out.

 

It cant be that easy! they will give me Tabs even if the car isnt running? im sorta lost!

 

State law that any titled vehicle must have current reg if it is in view of the public or something like that. Basically when I lived in Tacoma and my FD was parked at my house some cop drove through the ally behind my block and gave everyone warnings to get all the vehicles he could see registered.

Unless it was stored or otherwise obviously lawn art then it had to be current. So yeah no motor in the FD so off to the DOL and see what to do. The clerk is oh no big deal fill this out and pay the reg. SO I walked out with current tabs and a legit reg.

It's worked every time. No branded reg or anything, well at least back then. As far as I know things are still the same.

 

NICE, Ill give it a try.. i posted in the second gen forum. and they told me to get a new cat welded on and get a smog pump.. I never play by the rules. Im not going undo all my exhuast work...LOL
I am lucky and have a good sized garage that i can hide my cars in.. if i was in east tacoma like i use to be my car would be GONE by now. Either stolen or towed ...

You can get a smog pump, and a high flow cat with an air inlet tube.

When you need DEQ, Swap out your midpipe and plumb in the *electric smog pump.

It takes 45m tops to swap out the mid pipe and plumb a smog pump. wire the smog pump to a toggle switch in the cabin, and wire the smog pump using simple connectors for easy removal/reinstall (assuming you want to remove for track purposes).

when i first got my FC it wasnt drivable, i needed a brake master cylinder, and i went to register it in my name, i said it didnt run, and they gave me tabs for another year which was just last year, and the tabs before that were expired on '02

 

run on one fuel injector and have a rotor work like an airpump thats how i passed when i got my car ahaha didnt even know it till i figured out why it was running so horribly.

 

Now thats an idea... dang. why didnt i think of that.. haa i should wire a switch to the fuel Injector plug

No its just a sticker. just like the running reg. Long beach doesn't have deq ether I believe.

 

anywhere in klickitat county and you should be fine. they dont do that whole deq thing.

 

Well, I went into the DMV. gave them my plate Number. about to make up some excuses to get past emissions.. And Boom she said , that will be 70 bucks. Im like ok here ya go. got new plates and walked out the door.
