Totaled... :(
I got hit a few weeks ago and they totaled my car. All the damage to the car was a cracked tail light and a tiny body damage below the light. The ******* from the insurance compnay told me i would not have to apply for a totaled title because the car is over 10 years old. i got a letter from the DMV today that said it's now illegal to drive my car on a road or even have it parked on a road. DAMN IT!!! But I got a daily driver now so the raceification of RXanne begins. So what the fawk do I have to do. I'm supposed to fix the damage and take it to WSP inspection. What are they going to be looking at. cause my car is so illegal it's sick. no cat or any thing a weber the works. anyone ever gone to an inspection before? AAAHHHH I hate life sometimes!!!

Last time we had a total inspected all they wanted to see was the repairs for the damage areas, and make sure all of the safety features worked. When they issue another title it will be labled as a totoal repaired. Sorry to hear about the accident.. Glad your OK

yea it happened about a month ago. Noone notices cause it's just a broken tail light and about 2 inches of damage directly below it. All the body shops wanted to spray from the doors back to blend the paint. Well I hope all goes well. They gave me $700 bucks to fix it. And that worked out for fixing my rear axle when that broke. LOL... I finally installed my heim jointed lower links. Ummm nice. It makes such a difference! The rear feels so much better! Only down side is that it's loud.

I just went through a similar inspection with the WSP. They looked at the stickers and VINs to ensure it was the car I said it was. Then they looked at the repair and went to his computer. It was funny how his computer know everything about that car. Even that it was stolen and recovered from what I guess was the dealership before it was first purchased new.
I don't think you need worry about inspection. They see them all, so as long as you are very polite and have 0 [zero] attitude, they will enjoy their time with you and not dig. Face it, if you don't at least try you won't have a chance of getting it.
With my car after the inspection, I went to DOL/DMV. I got it titled and plates without question. And it wasn't a totaled, salvage, or repaired title.
One additional thought... Get a copy of the insurance papers that totaled it, so you can show original damage. It does stink, but they decide damage and to repair or not wholly based on their cost of repair vs. value.
