In order to compete in the competition your car must have tabs and registration, we have this to try keep the playing field fair. However, it is not necessary to have tabs for just a dyno pull during the event. Please do take advantage of the price, as it will only be this low once a year.

Ill be there, thats for sure. The real trick will be seeing if I can get an IC installed before then, so I can take full advantage of the rest of my mods & see what NS looks like on a graph.

Seeing the cars would be neat but I can almost bet that someone with a 1200hp supra will be taking home the trophy. Rotaries aren't just for straight line acceleration, we like the twisties as well.

I would definitely lose the ompetition... I was just making sure that I could still dyno if I want and everything is in running order... Hopefully I can get a tune, otherwise I might just have to come and watch.....
Someone get the Crispeed FD up here for this!

Ha, especially if this is a high hp shoot out, I would like to see the guy with a 900hp vette or some old classis and have the shop do a run. Ha, I dont think so.

One week left guys, I hope to see some rotary representation. As far as owners driving their own car on the dyno, we haven't had any issue with this, infact most car enthusiast that have come in actually enjoy watching their car on the dyno.
However, in special circumstances, we allow the car owner to conduct their own pulls. If you have done pulls on the dyno before, then we may make an exception. First we would want to talk to you. The reason we conduct our own pulls is because we don't want someone do a pull to 120mph then slamming on the brakes causing the car to fly off the dyno and making a car sized hole in the wall.
I hope you do understand this, as most dyno facilities goes by this rule. This is for your safety and others in the event. See ya guys there!!

I go to Wongs right down the road and most owners of boosted vettes and even a boosted viper let the shop do the pulls. This guy knows his **** when it comes to pulls and with the kinda cheese I wouldlet them do it. like the other guy said it is pretty dangerous ****. just imagine your in 4th gear and at the top of your tach, that would be like 100+mph on the ground. thats some fast **** there. just go look up a few BAD dyno pulls on streetfire or utube and you will see what I am talking bout.
I used to drive 40 different cars a day, and to not kill one with a stick that has a racing clutch or major mods done would be a joke. hell I remember kill my first lambo 4 times befor I got it right.

I had a bad experience with a dyno operator too. 1st time I ever had my FD dyno'd. This was way before I met Ralph at GZ. I asked the guy driving my car, to bring it above 4,500 rpms before mashing the throttle, because I did'nt have the correct pills for the prespool. It would over boost on the transistion. I made it very clear that it needed to be above 4,500rpms. Whats the guy do? Mash the throttle from 3k rpms. The guy did one pull, and I told him to pull the car off. While, it was my fault the car was overboosting, he could have listend to instructions.
Now, I don't let anyone drive my car expect Ralph at GZ. I'd trust Rob at Pineapple too....but beyond that, not many others. CJ

I just dont think its fair to force a customer to not drive their own car, especially when they are an enthusiast for the vehicle and built it by hand. I dont know about you guys, but when I had my car, I had a hard time letting the guys at Les Schwab drive it in and out of their bay just to get new tires, let alone some numb-nut spinning my motor up in an attempt to achieve its maximum potential without knowing the little "quirks" it might have as mentioned above.

Driving a powerful vehicle on a dyno is not easy. There is no way that any dyno shop should be letting customers operate the vehicle. If you are going to dyno, or high performance tuning shop, chances are good that those employees have driven a lot more difficult-to-drive vehicles, more powerful vehicles, than the customer.
