Thumbs up

Congrats man I used to have a 2000 CBR 929RR. I think the honda bikes for that time frame are some of the most balanced and bulletproof bikes out there. Man I had tons doen to it, pipes. ECU, steering stabilizer, upgraded suspension, K&N's, plusall the cosmetic do-dads. Do yourself a favor and get a power commander, best bang for the buck bar none. Maps are everywhere online for all sorts of mod combinations.

I sold mine last year to start on a cafe bike that should be done in a month or two.
79 CB750 DOHC. Should be wicked fun but slow....lol oh well that's what the cars are there for.

Here are mine. The street bike is a Z1000 and the dirtbike is a KX250.

I rode a F4i a couple years ago. Fun bike but my back and palms could not take the abuse on long rides.

750's are nice bikes. good power but you feel somewhat like a 600, But i put a lot of miles on that 600 and riden it to all it was worth and I am wanting something more. i topped that bike out at about 150ish. it was extremely fast. Kept up with my half bros R1 Till about 120-130 when he pulled away big time.

Cant wait for my liter bike to be sitting in my garage.

Nice bike Rick. I was thinking about getting one of those. What are your impressions of the bike?

oh Z-beater if you want fast, go for yamaha 1000cc R1 and you'll not regret it.

r1's are more road freindly bikes, but the gsxr's will stomp just about anything on the road. even the 1300cc bikes in my opinion wich are only good for straight line drags

agreed, GSX is very stable when it comes to high speed cornering compare to an R1, for for straight line drag, R1 is one of the best bikes to use. i'll try to find some photo of my hayabusa and my R1, hopefully i still have the photos on my external HDD.

Hey Dave,
I purchased it new in 03 and it has been a very reliable dirt bike. It starts easy hot or cold with the push of a button, has lots of torque from low to high RPMs, and handles very good for its weight... However, the suspension is a bit harsh, but that can be fixed.

Speaking of suspension, I'm thinking of having Moto-Pro suspension revalve my forks and shock for a more plush ride. Have you heard of them? They are located in Woodinville WA. http://www.moto-pro.com/default.asp

My uncle has his suspension from them. It was easy for him since he lives in Woodinville. I will talk with him and see his impressions. Last time I remember he was loving it over stock. He rides a RM250.

Currently, I have Racetech suspension on my KX250. I love it to death. I used to have a KX250 with stock suspension and the ride was not nearly as plush. It is amazing what a bike will do when it is set up for your weight and riding style.

There is also another guy locally that will tune your suspension. He comes out, watches your riding style then gears the bike for you. I wish that I could remember his name.

How many hours do you have on the bike? What type of riding do you do? How hard to you ride? I like that the KTM has a plate. What ever I purchased would need to be track ridden occasionally, it would be replacing the KX.

The Z1000 has plenty of power for me. 426lbs and 130hp. The bike still scares me. If I ever get bored with it I will turbocharge it!!!

That sounds like the way to have it done, but it also sounds expensive. lol

The bike has 161 hours / 2565 miles.

I like riding mountain trails, dunes and desert... It's all fun to me.

How hard I ride depends on who I'm riding with.
