recommend a paint shop in Portland plz?
I think its about time I get my car painted. Can anyone plz recommend a decent shop/painter that doesn't cost a **** load? i just need some very minor bodywork (a couple dings), fiberglass front fenders fitted, and then a paint job (door jams and under the hatch too).
i'm super picky about my paint (i cant freaking stand orange peel- drives me nuts!) so thats one of my big concerns.
so yah- point me to a shop in portland that can be trusted with paint and sfender mounting.
thanx!

Well if you're picky, then you need to spend a **** load. Anyone who would be willing to paint it for less would not come close to your expectations. Every car has orange peel unless you wet sand them out. That takes time. Fiberglass takes time..skim coating takes time..jams and hatch take time. There will be hours spent just getting the car ready for paint. Oh, and someone else has put the various pieces on already and most painters/body guys hate that because they will not know how well the work/prep was done. If you want it done right you're looking around $3k plus. If you want it just shot, go to Maaco for $425! Good luck with your project
Premiere... Out in Gresham, off of highway 26 and Orient Drive.
They are awesome, I hade my pearl white BRE 510 paint job done there.
They are expensive, but you get what you pay for.

about the jams and all that- i plan to bring the car in with all removable boady parts off the car (bumpers doors fenders hood and hatch). i'd like to have them all prepped/painted seperately, then i can just put them on. the fenders tho.. well i dont know shizzle about fiberglass, so someone needs to mount them and get them looking good.
and i dont think a good paint job is necessarily about money. it all comes down to how skilled the painter is, and how much he actually cares about the project. i supposed i can wetsand the orange peel down, if i get enough clear thrown on. (that should save a lot of labor hours)
