possible 7 convoy

hey guys just recently had an idea for a cool drive, thinking sometime mid to late october. it would be from highway 101 at the canadian border, down the entire pacific coast highway, threw washington threw oregon and california to the mexican border. then cutting east a little ways and finding another highway of choice home. if people dont wanna go all the way up to canada they could meet up along the way were ever they please. i live about halfway down into oregon or so, little over an hour south of portland. on the way threw we can take a quick detour to my place for a bbq and probably rest for the night depending on how many of us there is. figure id start planning now and see if i can get a good amount of people interested, ill probably post in the west forum as well see if we can get some guys from cali to join in the fun. anyway who thinks they might be up for the drive?

That would require some extensive planning and alot of people being able to take vacation time off of work. It would also cost some money for all that driving and overnight accomadations.

It sounds like a good idea on paper....but its hard enough just to get people together for a decent 7 meet.

yeah.... SSX is really the way to go with the caravan.... then the drive has 2 purposes... and im 100% down for it.... in fact, i thought i started a thread on it.... but i cant find it.....

The normal drive time on I-5 is roughly 20 hours.... so if we went on old 101..... double it..... Not that it wouldnt be AMAZING.... but loooong.

Either way, we need to organize a SSX caravan.... and when were down there in Irvine, perhaps after the event, i can take y'all to some touge canyon that will knock your socks off.... stuff that just truly doest exist up here

That's why you caravan with other 7 owners... Someone's bound to have the parts you'll need on or in their car lol

what the hell Chris?! can't you just get some saddle bags for that? I am not riding on back of your bike and I'm not carryin your bags on foot... and most of all SSX isn't even an option for me with me taking vacation in AZ and my sister's wedding and work being as insanely busy as it's been all around that time
