I just purchase a 93 FD VR And is bone stock I like to do some upgrades,
what would be the very first thing to do? Any help will be appreciate it. Thanks.

 

Its not something you wouls suspect,but take a stiff plastic bristle brush (like a plastic version of a wire brush) and brush the surface of all the rubber seals of the windows to remove the weathered rubber residue

Then apply Silicone oil to reuvinate the rubber's dextarity.
