Problems With State Revenue and Possibly Hayes Rotary
I recieved two letters from the State Revenue located in Bothell. It states the RCW code RCW 82.32.235. Some order to withhold and deliver. It also says we owe someone $60,000. The weird thing is that Hayes Rotary is located below the letter.
"Failure to complywith the requirements of this Notice within the prescribed time is unlawful and you may be help liable for the full amount due, together with costs, if judgment by default is redered against you by the court. (RCW 82.32.235)
Anyone have any idea what the hell this means? Am I in trouble or somthing?

I talked to Don today about the letter. His dad had filed bankruptcy twice and hasnt been able to pay the 2 grand a month that the revenue is asking for. Basically he is in debt right now, so the revenue send letters to all his customers saying if you owe Hayes money you have to send it to the revenue. Everyones car is safe for now, becuase Hayes has them all protected.
dang with hayes gone, what shop will we have to complain about now????
were gonna have to start picking on atkins dan now
haha j/k
**walt you need to come to the BBQ man!! dont miss it!!!**

WallyHojo have you been doing drugs with Hayes? because thats the most rediculous statement I ever heard. Think about it your car is safe with a desperate guy..............parts disapear...........shortcuts taken on quality to save $. Makes me wonder about my ACV-R that got stolen out of my car (among alot of other things) while it was at Hayes and Don Tells me he just happened to have a spare ACV-R head unit laying around that he could sell me. Right......................You may as well leave it with a meth or a crack addict

Well this sucks particularly bad. They rebuilt my engine almost 2 years ago and at the time, I thought they had a good reputation. They came recommended from someone here anyway...
I'm moving out of the country in like a week, just last night something started acting up on my car and imagine my surprise to find Hayes closed up tight this morning when I went by there. *sigh*
Anyone want to buy a nice 1st gen & turn it into a parts car....

I noticed yesterday it was lacking power a bit, then realized that the exhaust is smelling excessively rich. Then this morning I started hearing some sort of sound when the engine revs. I can't really think of the right words to describe the sound, other than a throaty sort of grinding noise. Not that I think anything is actually grinding, it just sounds like that.
On an unrelated note (at least I think it's unrelated), what causes the overheat exhaust system idiot light to come on?
<edit>
I plan to drop the car off later today with Lee Johnson for diagnosis. One thing I know for sure is that the shudder valve needs replaced. Not sure how much of these problems are caused by that.
And for what it's worth, I've had nothing but good experiences with Hayes in the past, save for the present disappointment of finding them closed when I need them the most. There's been several times I've been in there for a small problem & they've swapped out a small part, hose, bracket, harness, whatever free of charge for me.

i had an in depth talk with don the other day and most of this is what he relayed to me has already been said. don expressed interest in starting his own shop, because of the bankruptcy it will not be another hayes rotary, it will be under a different name. on another note, i took a co worker to look at another car on the mukeltio speedway. i coincidentally ran into a rotary specialist that i will be meeting and talking with tomarrow. a 13b sand rail caught my attention right away. its too bad the owner was not there so i could bs with him. if this sounds familiar at all to anyone on here, i will be going back tomarrow around 4:30-5:00. ill keep you all posted, because its new to me.
I wanna say its called Mazdatech. He is supposed to be pretty good, but my only experiance with him wasnt great. Took it to him for something (cant remember what it was about 3 years ago) dropped it off, and he had it for a couple of days. I called him and he said something had come up and that he couldn't get to it and i should come and get it. No charge of course. The other thing i know is that he used to work for Rapid Rotary/Mazdas and more. I mention them and he said "yeah, I used to work for Ken". Now of course that doesnt' mean good or bad. But that is pretty much everything I know about the place.
Oh and I've seen that sand rail at ....... TADA!!!!!!!!!! Hayes Rotary. Couple of years ago when I had them put in my Super AVC (I was a little concerened about the fuel, **** now its a peice of cake), I looked inside the shop and saw it. I think it was for sale at the time, but i drink alot and my brain cells arnt so good anymore. Gotta be the same one, how many rotory sand rails can there be?

Nope Mazdatech is still around. Atkins Dan gave us a scare. Andy is thinking about closing at the end of this year, but last I talked to him he was unsure. Still open and the best price on labor in the country! Damn good guy too I might add...
Yeah, Andy is a cool guy. He fixed a couple oil leaks, belts, water-pump and clutch for me when I was a fledgling n00b. I trust him and he's a nice guy with casual prices. But if you don't know about cars, cover your butt so you don't get taken advantage of... Just a precaution.
i stumbled upon mazdatech a couple days ago with a co worker, he wanted to buy an olds bravada outside. i went in and saw the sand rail you talked about. they are located on the mukletio speedway. so incase you all didnt know, i however have never done buisness with them but have only heard bad things. so i was only going to stop buy and check things out. this is not dons new shop however, he hasnt started a new one yet even if he is.
