I've been talking to some of the guys at work, and it's lead to trying to organize a novice track day (since none of them have ANY experience with it.) Time frame will be April/May, I don't have a whole lot locked down yet.

Sam, you need to get out of that spa before the tide comes in or your tie will get wet. Not worried about the jacket - we can see it already got wet and shrank.

I might be up for a track day by next spring - I finally have the big brakes and wheels on my RX-7 and some really good tires. Haven't been out on a track since my autocross days, which were in a previous life.

That's actually what the track advised me on, as well. I've got a couple groups I'm talking to, but it's too early to get a definitive on next year's calender. I'll keep you guys posted.

 

My car won't be ready but I'd be interested in coming at least to watch and maybe bum ride along or two and hand out.

Check out ICSCC.com. Its a local club that races, has driving schools and HPDE at Portland, Pacific Raceway, The Ridge, Oregon Raceway Park, Spokane and Mission BC. I dont know if next years schedule is posted yet, but they run from April to October.

There are two endurance races this Saturday at Portland International Raceway, a two hour from 11am to 1pm and then a six hour from 3pm to 9pm. Free to the public. The Retro Racing team will be out there running an E Production RX7 and a Super Production RX3.
