think of it this way. 7k is alot of money for an FB but who else has an FB that is that far fully restored? All original parts.
7k is alot but for nostalgia reasons I am sure some old guy will buy it.
or... it will sit in their inventory forever

 

I do, all it takes it to have a proffesional detailer on hand... It cost about 350.00 to have the car cleaned and detailed that well.. I bet half the fb owners here can have a car that nice with thier detailer going to town on it. **** the guy did a damn good job, but its NOT worth that price cause it was cleaned... The miles tell the truth...

 

the guy probably didn't have the cash to to a turbo swap,so rob probably told the guy to spend less,just build a streetport and spray when you want to play,i hear people call daily with dreams much larger than their wallet.so don't assume that an engine builder wouldn't do the job.

 

I was at pineapple today, and if it was the guy that called when I was there, Rob told him the cheapest way to do it was to buy a t2 car and swap everything over...

But hey, no idea if that was him or not. lol

I'm sure he gets calls like that every day.

 

I call complete BS. He might have joked with the guy if he was being a complete waste of time.

Robs good people every time I'm at pineapple he's giving somone free advice, and he gives me advice every time, but yes he will tease if the person on the phone comes off as a compleate idiot, or has no intention of buying parts or service through them. Rob's helped me tons.

And I know Kurt Robertson personally, and that guy won't give me **** for advice and any time I've called about parts he wan'ts way too much money. Rob at pineapple has hooked me up.

Edit I'd never pay that price for a car thats been sitting, I've got both my sevens after long periods of improper storage, and both ran, but had ton's of issues. the T2's not even done yet. still have a few things to fix.

 

Kurt won't give advice beacause he doesn't have any good advice or tech knowledge to give.

 

I know him from other things than rotary, he was my welding teacher, he has hooked me up in the past with alot of free certifications, but he does seem to have quite the bad rep in the rotary community. I guess he's burnt his bridges. I can't speak one way or the other about him though. He's done me a few solids, and He's really a nice guy, but that doesn't say anything about other aspects of why he's distrusted. I don't call him for parts or advice. but he has found me a few jobs in the past.

 

How did Kurt's name get brought up?
Is he the one selling it or something?

 

I said that Rob has always been pretty forth coming in advice and me knowing Kurt from aways back won't tell me anything, I'm not saying anything bad about him. I don't know about his rotary practices, except that he wants alot of money for used parts. He's good people other than that. and I don't blame him he spent time to learn it why would he be willing to give it up for free.

I am saying rob golden has always giving me good advice and plenty of tips that he didn't half to give me. He could of just kept the secrets to him self.

even you gave me some tips. and some expenations of how things work. I've figured out carbs now. at least the nikki thanks too you. Kurt wouldn't of shown me ****.

its a car forum.... I don't care how my grammar is. block me if you don't want to read my poor english. If I would of proof read that a bit, I could of fixed it a little bit. I can't use Internet explorer (I have to open a folder and use the address bar) so I have no spell check, and I'm lazy and simply don't give a ****. but excuses are like ******** everybody's got one... right?

but I don't see how rob or kurt being an English teacher would help my writing any? maybe they should teach common sense, and respect in school.

I personally don't think he meant new, but rebuilt. As for NOS he probably requested it to go faster.
