PFC Tuner

I`m looking for a PFC Tuner in the NW. I live in Vancouver, BC and there are no local PFC tuners. I am capable of setting up a base tune and break the engine in. I would like to find someone who has loads of experience tuning rotaries and specifically the PFC somewhere from here to Cali.

So far Corksport has popped up in my searches as well as that shop that started when GZ closed. I forget the name right now.

Opinions and ideas please?

I`ve spent upwards of 10k on everything and DO NOT want anything to go wrong. My setup should be dead reliable, only proven parts have been used and a brand new engine by DJSeven, single turbo, v-mount, fuel, ign etc. All I need now is a tuner that won`t blow it up.

Check out Kito Auto Sport in Seattle. They have their own dyno + when BDC came to town, that's where he did his tuning. I've talked to both Kito the owner + the guy at the counter (forgot his name, but he used to own an FC) + they both know their stuff. I'll have my car tuned there when I get the funds to.

Thanks for the help guys, but I'm really looking for someone who is IN with the rotary crowd and fluent in the PFC. Not "owned and FC" or "knows his stuff'... (no offence) basically looking for someone who is proven in the rotary work, has done tons of tuning with great results etc. Have these guys at Kito and Intec have proven consistant results that I can be point to? Dyno vidoes, customer cars etc?

So far I've been pointed my a member over PM to Ralph from (former) GZ. At this point it looks like I will try to have him tune it since I know he's been around the block a few times.

intec racing doesn't have much "history" with rotary's, but every rx7 they have done has come out fantastic.

lawrence's (the tuner/owner) mentor from japan (probably the only one who i'd let tune my fc besides lawrence) specializes in rotaries, and has passed the knowledge down to him. a lot of people assume intec only works on hondas, or nissans, or toyota's, but really they work on anything japanese. a couple of the rx7's built through them have made magazines even.

right now he's tuning a full bridge port, gt35r, vmic, etc etc etc FD with PFC. it was making 380whp @ 8psi @ ~7000rpm. full boost by 3500. tuning was stopped short due to a problem with the motor- the guys who built it *cough*pineapple*cough* messed up. coolant was shooting out of the rear housing at 8psi/7000psi and above. you'd be amazed at what we found once we took things apart..

anyways. intec racing is legit. do it. the guy who works the front is a rotary head and the tuner has a slight fetish for them as well

offtopic: ROBERT! your purple hoses are at intec.

4 marked with red 'X' were loose/stripped. this motor had MAYBE 3-500 miles on it.

That's not necessarily a build problem. That can happen from vibration from the motor when revving the crap out of it in every gear and trying to drive it like a race car. I've seen this before. It happened to one of mine about 16-17 years ago when I was a young and irresponsible kid.

If how my car turned out is any indication I would say they know their stuff.

Whats with the aluminum transfer on the bottom of that rear iron? How bad was the motor shaking before the person realized it? Probably kept driving and caused even more damage.
