I got my car this past july and have fixed what I can. I rely on it everyday so it's hard to work on it.

I replaced the thermostat and the u joints, but I have alot left that doesnt work:
(not asking for help, but any advice would be welcome)

-driver side window, I think the passenger window now too (don't want to find out..)

-my flashers come on (switch is bad). I pulled the fuse and hope cops dont notice my lack of turn signal use.

-my stereo is completely screwed up, the previous owner put in an aftermarket stereo but was high when he wired it... mono sound. when I turn on the lights, it turns off. the door speakers dont work. the radio doesnt work.
I'm thinking I'll just take that to a shop and put some decent speakers in and have them fix it all.

-accesory power, clock, driver side key..

-coolant overflow issue that seems inconsistent
I think that's most of it

But every time I drive it, I can't help but smile, so it's worth it.
Hey Ben its Rick from OReilys. Cool to see you got on here, most of these guys/girls know their stuff. Im sure ther'll be another meet in no time. If not I'll try to organize one for the locals closer to spring/summer.

Lets see if I can help with what you got there.
Windows: checked/replaced fuses? Next is the switches, I know they are the same as the 90 mazda MPV last I checked. Maybe that could be it?

Flasher: I can special order a new one I think, and I know its the same as an mx5. Find one in a junk yard your golden. Let me know if you do too, cause I could use a spare!

Stereo: just sounds like you got a case of rats nest, if you are stereo savvy just pull it out and run new harness/wires. It worked with mine.

If you want to hit me up on FB, or pm me whatever

The driver side window motor works and the window will operate with (alot) of assistance. I think it just came off the roller.

Been meaning to check the junkyards, I'm going to try to go to pick a part in albany this week. How much would a new switch cost?

I'm new to not only rotaries, but cars in general, but I'm learning fast

I am getting ready to release my FC from Bellingham and bring her down to Portland. It would be cool to roll with some other Rx7's in Portland. Shoot me an IM, if you want to terrorize the streets if there are any get togethers coming up this spring.

When I get her running and legal you should be able to see my black FC makin' a racket all over Portland, Milwaukie, Oregon City, Beaverton, and Vancouver. I'm currently living and working in SE Portland. Hoping to eventually meet more rotary lovers in the area.

The company i work for is called whisperjet and i've only been working for them for about 8 months now so don't quote me on anything but originally the s-55's had a radial piston engine and whisperjet purchased the entire inventory of spare parts from sikorsky and around 20 airframes. Some of the airframes are now far beyond repair but many of the good ones have been fitted with honeywell gas turbine engines, converted from a 3 blade rotor system to a 5 blade and many other modifications so they can be used for a wider range of tasks.
There is one in New Guinea at the moment doing work on a pipeline and other than that there isn't a whole lot of other work happening at the moment but hopefully there will be soon.

Welcome to the forum!
RPNW is still up and going.

We have a pretty active Facebook page now where we will be posting all information about meets and everything. We have general meetings every first Wednesday of the month starting at 7:00pm. Meetings are located at round table pizza off Barbur Blvd.

We even have a few Turbo FB guys in our group already!
