It is now official, I reserved the shelter today at Gene Coulon Park in Renton on Lake Washington. We have the Creekside Shelter, there are 40 parking spots available. The cost will be offset by everyone donating what they can afford.

The event will start at 6:00 p.m. and run until dusk, when we get kicked out of the park.

We are tossing around some ideas for fun contests like who looks the best in spandex and there will be prizes.

If you plan on attending please let me know so I can make sure we have enough food for everyone.

Well I got her a name and address of a forum member a few days ago which she apparently didn't use... So NO breaks for Tammy!! This postponement has angered me so much that I may not wear the spandex and wash people's cars.....

hey there has been alot of people viewing this , but no-one wants to respond to it, i guess the club BBQ's arent good enough for u. well it is something for the people that are very much a 7 lover and want to do things with their cars and meet more people. so come on and join us at this event. otherwise u arent a very good 7 member. we are trying to do more things in the club and some of us dont or cant drive that far to do things with our cars due to not having alot of money. so if u are a dedicated 7 member come and join our BBQ this august 18th for a good time.

 

Hey, don't mean to be an ***. But there is an annual BBQ that is held every year at the end of August. I don't mean to put a damper on this but that is really close to the annual BBQ. No problem with the previous date.

cant use previous date because it is already booked full for that park, the only date we could get was august 18th. and why do we have to go so far south dor everything why cant the south people come up north? we are always driving south for events why dont the south members come up north once in a while?

 

I don't consider Renton "North" seeing as how you are technically SOUTH of Seattle.... So since it's in your area I wouldn't complain Hal... It's pretty close to a midway point for the North and South guys... Just cuz people don't post doesn't mean they're not coming! I found members of this forum who are on NoPistons as well that posted there saying they'd go... I expect a decent turnout.. Especially if I'm washing cars for FREE in spandex and doing a calendar shoot as well! lol

The annual BBQ was held in Federal Way. I have no issue driving up your direction I just thought that I would throw it out there that there is an annual BBQ that happens a week later. It has been a standing tradition.

 

Hey maybe we can get Pinnicle Mazda to do some stuff with the BBQ..... And August sounds great!

Thank you everyone who responded and who gave me a hard time. Remember when I took on this thing I said no one could get mad at me if things don't turn out perfect. Personally, I think we are going to have a great turnout, probably better than we expect. Thank you whoever edited my original post and made it a sticky!

Tim, you will be there preferably in pink spandex! I'm sure we will find running water somewhere for you to wash cars and remember mine first! The address you gave me was fine and dandy but I needed someone to go with me to show proof of residency.

Hal - thank you for defending me while I have been too busy to even check my email.

What I do know is you can't please everyone all the time. I have an inherant ability to **** people off without trying so I know! Whoever shows up, shows up and we will have a blast. So, every one start thinking about some other fun things to do besides the spandex contest and I will get busy putting some worthy prizes together. (Thanks Atkins Mama for recommending Pinnacle Mazda - do you know anyone there?)
