Hey guys, I just wanted to warn the group that there is a likely Craigslist scam involving the following car:

It looks like the Ebay add is real if you go by the car fax report and the Craigslist add is the scam

I Emailed him last night and this was the reply;
Hey,
I am selling this car because my unit will be sent back to Iraq and don't want it getting old in my garage.The price is low because I need to sell it before the middle of May.The vehicle is in great condition and runs great.It is still available for sale if interested, price as stated in the ad US $2900.The car is in St. Paul , Minnesota and in case it gets sold I will take care of the shipping charges.

I would tell him that I only pay for these types of things via wire transfer. Therefore you need his account name, account number, bank name, and routing number.

See what he says then!

 

One more thing: "why isn't it listed on St. Paul craigslist then?" That would be a good question.

I like how he's playing up the Iraq War veteran angle. What an uber douche. I didn't bother to contact him but I did let the guy with the real eBay ad know. I'm just glad no one on here sent him any money or anything.

 

i think what pisses me off the most about that guy is the fact he is playing off his elleged deployment. the guy probably doesnt even serve. i have many family and friends that have served multiple tours in iraq. and a little brother that will most likely get deployed in the next couple years. if this guy really is in the millitary he is a discrace to this country, if not, then hes just another no good piece of **** criminal who should be at the very least castrated so he can never reproduce.

well i listed a car on cl a few days back and it seems scammers are on there like crazy, but its more like ill send you a cashiers check and then you send the car. really annoying. but yes this is crap tha that guy has the ***** to do this kinds stuff.

 

Could be worse, could be selling a ring.
