My Terrible experiances with Rx's So far....
Well.. the way I look at it.. Is that I'm so invested into the project, that I wont be eable to get the money out. And I'm more interested in having an REW swap other then the infinatly more common 13bt swap.

um rsx's go that fast and then some... i have a few friends with them and there pretty quick considering there na
You stole the words right out of my keyboard. That's exactly what I was going to say. Even if you did get a good deal out of the swap, I would definetly stop what your doing and sell the project in hopes of a turbo 2 swap, you might still have a chance to break even or even come out ahead. Much cheaper and cost for cost you'll end up with more power, on the turbo2 motor. I think you are definetly going on the wrong track, if you can't afford an aftermarket ecu for your fd motor, your in a world of trouble as these motors can get expensive for upkeep. Especially with what your doing I mean your talking about an advanced level of mechanicing, you even said yourself that you guys don't really know what your doing. Your going to end up with a broken wallet and possibly a blown motor if you guys don't nail it right on the head. Besides as it has been mentioned here these a by far more common swap so others here can help you. Keep it simple and smart, buy a t2 motor.
There is a reason its a more common swap. Sometimes walking on the undisturbed path isn't always the right choice.

After that, its all wiring, vacuum and plumbing.
In the end. I think I'm keeping the motor in case of the off chance that I decide to buy an FD this summer. Besides.. I couldnt break even if I tried.
About the not having money bit - Just had a kid, and its winter - I dont get money until the summer.

Haha, not quite... Tuning will also play a large factor. An EMS would be a 100% good decision--I don't even know how the stock FD ECU would factor into the equation. Not only that, what are you proposing to do with the stock twins? Seq./non-seq.?
There are only clouds in the future with this swap and your acknowledged limited experience... Either way, I wish you luck since it appears you've made up your mind!

On the other forum, I'm buying a Mega-Squirt board and whatnot. this summer I plan on buying a Power FC. But I'd like to drive the car once or twice before I go ahead and spend another 2g's on it.
I got the whole clutch/pressure/flywheel for a s5 t2 sitting at home. I believe the clutch is fried but the pressure plate and fly should still be fine if your on a budget they would deff be cheap.

Oh dude in the kills section some guy with a V6 mustang said he did a 70-140+ run against an RSX... Neither car can reach those speeds...
Hate to suggest it, considering you've already gone down the REW path, but at least you'd save yourself the continued heartache...
