Murphy's Law is kickin my ***!
Murphy's Law- Whatever can go wrong, will.
Well, I bought a Dellorto 48 some time ago. It turned out to be missing chokes and velocity stacks. So, I ordered jets, air correctors, etc. etc. etc., and a rebuild kit from Europe, then ordered a set of chokes and kept it inside waiting for when I had time and opportunity to use/rebuild it. At this point I'm into the carb setup for 600 or so. Well, I bought a 13b for my FB and now is the time. Since I finally got all the parts in I needed to do the swap, I pulled the Dellorto out to clean it up and get it ready to mount. Well surprise! I pulled the top off to find out that the float arm has been broken and someone attempted to repair it, but not very good. At this point I'm feeling a bit pissed. Not to mention without the Dellorto my 13b swap is going on hold. It really chaps my *** to find all these hidden surprises when I buy something. **** it. Anyway........ I REALLY NEED A DELORTO TOP!!!!!!!!! If anyone has a spare or some Dellorto stuff layin around, I believe the top is the same on the 40, 44 and 48's.

Dellorto top
Here is the piece I need. It's the top of the carb body, the piece the inspection plate screws to and the float attaches underneath. If you pull the carb apart, it tears down to 2 main pieces, the top and the body, I need the top. It's held on by 4 screws and the fuel union is attached to it.

No, it is not stock!

Trust me - the inconveniences you have described are pretty minor compared to the engineering problems I have solved on my current project - I am doing an engine swap that is definitely not for the faint of heart .
But don't let these little screw ups slow you down. Just put the 13b in your car, get the exhaust, cooling and ignition systems working and it is easy to swap the intake later, since access is pretty good.
I assume you are running a 4 port 13b???? If so, just bolt on a stock RX-4 intake and carb to get it running. Assuming you have done some porting, you should get 160 hp or more. That is what I am doing with my current project, and we may go for fuel injection, maybe a blower later.
We installed a custom built 13b in my friend Steve Roberts' 79 Rx-7 rally car, and he drove it with the stock carb until it was sorted, then installed a big Holley setup.
I have a couple of RX-4 manifolds and carbs, would let you use one, but not really interested is selling. I would guess that Jeff20b would know where to find some also.
If your 13b is a 6 port, all of the above may not be applicable - Sorry, but those later engines have too many moving parts for my brain to comprehend.

i remember when i needed my idle jet holders, it only took them a week to ship it..but that was a while ago, i think you've gotten things recently...but also try calling cbperformance , i used them for my rebuild kit and some jets, i think the only thing that i didnt use out of the rebuild kit was the needle because #300 was too big, rb only used a smaller one..i used it on a stock port motor...
