Lame....

So chris and i went up to WA yesterday to do a trade on some parts, and heading up I5 through salem i got pulled over for speeding..

I was given a 190.00 speeding ticket for going 73 in a 60.. Now i was pulled over right in front of the 65 MPH sighn, but it didnt seem to matter that the limit was just about to raise up and that i was in the fast lane, right behind a car with a car behind me, and was being passed by people on my right... Somehow i was the one who got pulled?

now i dont dispute i was speeding, but i think that its kinda funny that i was given the ticket.. I just got a full sleeve done, and the treatment i got was great.... I handed him my I.D and he went to his car... Came back and before he asked me anything else he asked whos car i was driving and if i was on parole.. Kinda threw me off a little cause i am not..??...... Said " i normally wouldnt issue a ticket, and would just give you a warning, but its raining out..Slow down." then handed me the ticket, and promptly speed off....

The thing that makes me sick, is on the way down through salem later on the return trip, i did, 64.5 MPH, locked it on my cruise and used my GPS speedo. And in almost the exact same spot as i got pulled earlier, there was a state cop that went flying by me at 75+ just cruising down the road.... Was so hard not to video tape it and take that into court......

So it ended up being a pretty spendy trip all said and done,lol.... And i am still not sure if i care to spend the 20.00 to drive to salem for court and even try to get them to knock a few bucks off the fee or just mail it off with a little **** you note attached

**** man! Sorry to hear that, I feel bad. Didn't expect the trip to cost ya THAT much. I'd totally send the pennies, but throw in a handful of crumpled bills too, otherwise they'll just dump it into one of those "change counters" and be done. Or you could write a check for a lame portion, throw in some ones and a handfull of misc. nickels, dimes, and quarters and the major part pennies. Make em' work for it.

I'm glad to get my parts, but sorry you got stung.

i mail all my tickets now usally with letters of the circumstances etc..
i have had 1 ticket droped and 1 lowered. 6 months later i get a check form the city and get my money back lol..

i do this mainly cause i lose more money having to go to court. And tend to argue with big fat bitch judges..

...Or better yet; Send them a check for $190.02. I think they're obligated to return any overage and it'll cost 'em $197 in administrative/red tape/postal costs. This is the only way where you come out ahead, so to speak. Of course, we're all paying for this kind of b.s. with our taxes. Fewer and less taxes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
