Well i havent really gotten anything done to the body yet, but i have gotten a good deal done on the motor swap part... I took the engine to RW-7 and it got the se pan and front cover put on we ordered some RB block off plates for it as i am going pre mix and carb. Got a weber 48 ida and should have the manifold shortly.... Unfortunatly more would have been done but i bought a new board (cause i really need somthing to do besides car projects,lol) and then i found a 71 Volvo 142E and i couldnt pass up on it..Its just so damn rare,lol..... So that drained some funds...

Tomarrow i have almost all day to be in the shop doing the body, so i should get alot done

well its officially up to the wife now, as she has taken dibs on it. Shes hooked. We are "discussing" drivetrain options, but right now its looking closer to a volvo turbo engine from somthing newer, or a 350 5speed from a camaro.. Options are still all over the place for that though. We may end up buying a V6??? Dunno yet, all i know is the pic posted is how she wants it ( i love my wife )....

And the score of it is that its only missing the tranny, everything else is there (all over,lol). And i got it for a 160.00... Thats what the storage lot the guy owned it wanted.... But then theres gas, helping him move his other cars, the trailer rental, food, bla bla... It added up

But i am stoked.... But putting my attention back to the pounder for a while.....Should have the body work done this weekend!!!

yes, we have decided that the volvo is going with a 93 FD motor.... Robert i am totally going to have to rent your services when i order that engine, i will have thirty days to make sure its good(comp,water,oil)!!

Ok little update, soon as i figure out how to download photos from my new phone i will get them posted....

Motor is in. Took it to robert and he did some MIGHTY FINE work to the engine so i can drop it in the FB, got the SE parts on it, as well as some RB block off parts and a small oil pressure upgrade...

Got new hardware on all the externals, S5 T2 externals- turbo,alt,waterpump,ect..... Got a racing beat dual alt pully.. S5 oil cooler (i am curious what the difference -if any- between the S4 and S5 NA or T2 oil coolers)...

Got the IDA manifold last night from mazdatrix with all the bushings and spacers! Ordered the weber 48 ida from japan2la and its beautifull! So i am about ready to put all that on it..

I got the suspension and brakes about done. Got 5way adj illuminas on front and blues in rear. Eibach all the way around. I got new rotors, and calipers on the front with hawk pads(funny and kinda bad story to hot i got those pads again....ugh) and quick bleeder valves(oh yeah, self bleeding FTW!)........... APEX SS stainless brake lines on the way and i have a stainless clutch. And new wheel bearings for all, new hardware and rear pads...

New steering bushings-still to put on,not easy i have found, as well as the watts link poly kit and the tension rods. Still need to get a Heavy Duty Replacement Idler Arm from Mazdatrix.. Looks sweet, kinda like the adj lower control arms as well,lol.. Hmmm just money right :\


Heres where i am at though..... Need to get the S5 Manifold for the turbo and am waiting for the IDA intake to come in the mail as well the hawk pads and stainless lines... Soon as those come in though its on and ready to go!!

I have decided to wait on the body work till i get bob's car done, then i will do mine(need to get thiers finished first) but after that i will get to the body and i am not the biggest fan of shooting 2nd stage paint so i have decided to take it to seattle to get color(ouch i am payin for it good though, its been a while since i didnt do all my own work and i forgot how much they rape you,lol)

So yeah, that about where this is at... Hopfully i will have all this dun by the end of april and be driving it again!!!!
