Joe maddox

I just want to make a PUBLIC comment here....

I think it's pretty trivial what these mods have done and really shows the TRUE colors of this website. THREE OF THE LAST FOUR posts on Joe's build thread are MODERATORS bashing and slandering Joe's name AFTER he's banned and can't retort... than they have the audacity to close the thread before your beloved members can say their peace... SAD (https://www.rx7club.com/nw-rx-7-forum-33/my-right-hand-drive-project-913167/page5/)

It raises eyebrows why mods feel they need to publicly defend themselves... guilt much? The fact they're attacking Joe only raises concerns and questions of possible alliances with Bob… I realize Bob is a smart guy and can talk convincingly… but, you realize he has NO LEGAL CASE? Nothing was written up, nothing was signed, no blood was shed and I’m pretty damn confident Joe did EVERYTHING in his power to make all parties happy and satisfied with the transaction .... as he ALWAYS has... (even after Bob screwed him over MORE THAN ONCE previously)… anyone who has delt with Joe will contest he's one of the best sellers on here... or WAS

The recent actions of this site has really saddened me and reflect very poorly on the RX7 community.

uh, i sure as hell hope your not talking about me? Starting drama? Hell, i'm just trying to defend my friend... I was there when all this went down with Bob and joe is being painted in the wrong.

None of my business? He's my friend and i ACTAULLY LISTEN TO HIS POINT OF VIEW... unlike our mods.

Joe has been banned, his home AND cell phone's IP address has been blocked... He can't even see all the **** our moderators are slinging.... How unprofessional... I'm looking forward to moving all my interests to RCC

I personally am on the side of Joe, he is a great guy and all.

But I will say, that talking about this, bringing it up, publicly doing things like this, won't help his case, and yes... will cause stupid drama.

What's done is done, and all you can do now is just get past what has happened, and try to move on peacefully.

Once again, on Joe's side... but don't think this is right in any way.

no, he wouldnt give the forum any money so they banned him. go look at the bad and fugly section and read the last reply by mar3. the reasons they gave him the ban was just their way of making them look "good" they wouldnt look so good if they banned him and said it was cause we are greedy bastards and joe didnt wanna pay up.

Yup, they wanted to charge him $70/month for being a vendor... Joe does NOT make money on his sales... He usually looses a lot of money but continues to do it to help others and the rx7 community. Yes, he posts a lot of for sale threads for FAR less than others.. This is why he'e being banned, others are bitching he's keeping the prices low

70 bucks?!?!? jesus. how much do they think it cost to run this site? if you look at the bottom of the main page you can see how many vendors they have and im sure some have to pay more than others. if each vendor has to pay 70/month then the forum generate ~2500 bucks. last i checked its way way way lower than that to have a site live online. hell godaddy was advertising it to be a buck a month. and plus the ad revenue this site generates. jesus somebody is making a nice income just sitting on their *** all day. thats 30k a year just from the vendors.

just an FYI anyone that is going against the mods are in danger of being banned.

It costs $1200/ year to maintain this site which is paid via those changing ads on top of every page.... Thank you Racing Beat, Rotary Shack, Adkins, etc

Hell, ban me... It's a small price to pay to try and defend my friend a little sense his voice has been silenced. Not to mention, our mods have the ability to revoke earlier decisions....

Yes, i'm antisipating a mod or two to chime in here shortly, getting the last word in before closing or deleting this thread.... Than promptly banning me.

Ugh.... All for the love of da Brap Brap

trying to make him a vendor for selling used parts off of his own cars? yah thats shitty

but it should be known that forums are not democracies with free will and all that. they're pretty much all communist environments with varying illusions of freedom. anyone who thinks otherwise doesnt spend enough time on the interwebz. every forum has an owner, and they can do as they please.

sure the vendor rule may be gay, but if all the moderators agree on his banning, well thats how it goes. as stated somewhere, theres plenty other forums he can sell stuff on, as well as craigslist. i doubt he's going to lose his home over the loss in sales. if so, maybe he should have coughed up the 70$ ransom lol

some of you may be aware of what happened to NWN... it used to be the biggest NW car site around- tons of member, organized events, etc. Forum leadership came to a divide, a pile of top people people quit (and were eventually banned), and the remaining mods turned extremely gay. post deletion and bans happen daily. it has since boiled down to NWClassifieds + noob driftidiot chat. its the circle of life for forums

in soviet rx7club, seal clubs you!

I didn't even know there was a problem, or even know a guy named Joe, till you brought it up. So his name is Joe Maddox? K.

If you would have just chilled this would have all went over in 2 days when his temp ban is most likely lifted and no one would have known or cared.

you guys are funny......this isn't anything new......you should have been here 5 or so years ago. pretty much the whole nw section got banned..... all went over to nopistons for awhile. over a vender. nothing new. all joe has to do is clear his cookies, get a new e-mail and register. pretty simple. hell i even was so ballsy to register with the same name with ! in front and back( i was the first to get banned....). everything has politics in front of it, just learn to go with the flow. the sooner this is left behind, the faster it will be resolved....... and everybody, nomatter who they are, wants to have the weight to push....even if they are pushing crap, they are still pushing.

What do you know? You know simple math and that's it. For some people, they only need a one month license in order to get more than 5 Classifieds ads out at one time to dispense of a bunch of stuff in their garage plus a bunch of stuff they've collected recently from salvage yards. That was Joe's option. One month fee so he could get all of his many, many FS and Part Out threads unlocked. He didn't want to do this. Did you know that? Hell no.

Your laughable gimp math on what it takes to run a website and costs to servers is simply too....well, simple. It takes cash and capital to keep servers up-to-date and running. Some of the stuff we want changed won't be changed and they cite money. They pay their own licensing fees to use certain software to keep this site running and running quick. Who all remembers when it was slow as molasses? It took money to fix that. If you're going to have a brick and mortar home with staff, it costs money. Let's see if GoDaddy would host this website for a dollar. Let's see how freakin' slow it would be after they did, if they did. Overhead's a bitch and when you pay someone for a website in big numbers, you've got to get that investment back in a timely manner, but I'm sure you knew that before you ran yer mouth.

FYI, just because you run your mouth when you don't know what the McHell you're talking about isn't going to get you banned unless you're lying repeatedly or cursing a Moderator. But you already knew that, too, you were just being funny as opposed to misleading, I hope.

Joe is a good guy but if he feels he's in the right, rules mean nothing to him. On top of that, if you say something and then do something else, you gotta realize you're going to pay the price. But you already know all there is to know about Joe and what he did, right?

WRONG.
