Arrow Indy Film

Hey, I'm new to this forum, but I've been on Tunerfriends for a while. I am a video production student at the Art Institute of Seattle and I'm going to be making a movie over the next three months. And I'm in need of an FD for my video shoot. I currentlly have the following cars that are going to be in the movie: Lexus SC300, a Honda S2000, a turbo Supra, an RB20 powered S13, Nissan
Skyline GT-R R32, Infintiy G35, Dodge Magnum, Subaru Impreza WRX, Impreza
WRX STi, Impreza RS, Nissan 350Z, Nissan 240SX, Eclipse GSX, Porsche 911
Turbo, Porsche 997S, Porsche 996TT, BMW M3, Mitsubishi EVO 8. I'm actually
going to have liike 3 EVO's and 3 STI's in it so it should be cool. I still
want an RX-7 and an NSX (long shot, but so was the Skyline). But I've come here in search of FD's around Seattle. I know I'm new to the forum, but if you are interested, e-mail me at shredmasterjosh@homail.com or call me on my cell at (360) 929-4586. I'm also looking for a number of extras for a club scene. If you are interested in either being an extra or having your car in it, e-mail me a pic of your car and you (gotta have a face and name to the car) and a way to contact you (phone number) as well as a list of a few mods (the car, not you )

I may have some Pacific Raceway or Everret Speedway stuff, if I can get access to them. About some touge stuff, not very many mountain passes in Seattle. But as for some races through the city, I have a few things in mind, but getting permission to race on I-5 through the city is going to be a task, especially for a student. I could go gorilla style and do it without asking, but I don't know how that may turn out, I'm not looking to get anyone's cars impounded, or get arrested and fined. I could use the whole "I'm a student and I didn't think I needed a permit" bit, but how effective that will be is iffy.

why just an FD? Nissan 350Z sucks soo much, i played catchup with one in my FB and never got more than 30 feet behind. Nissan 240SX is a horrible car. And why would you EVER come on a RX7 forum, and talk about and Eclipse. we all saw the new eclipse commercial. you all know what i'm talking about, the one where all the cars bowed down to it. and the last car to bow down was a 7.

I'm not one to make bad blood on a forum I haven't been on but a whole day, but come on, the 350Z is still a great car, so the driver of the 350 you drove against sucked, but there are 350's that could spank you if the driver is good enough. And about the Eclipse, if you'll look back, you'll find it's a GSX, not the new Eclispe. The AWD turbo Eclipse. Now I'm not saying it's the greatest car in the world, but see it's surrounded my EVO's, STi's, turbo Porsches, oh and a SKYLINE! And the 240 with the SR or an RB swapped in make great drifters (Keiichi Tsuchiya drives an S15), so why hate on everyother car?
I'm not looking just for an FD, but being on an RX-77 site, looking for other cars like another R32 would be kind of pointless. I know there are some R32 and R33 owners here, but they're from Canada, not Seattle. I want an NSX in my movie too, so I'm not just wanting an FD. I'd love for an FC or 2 but I really like the look of the FD, so that's why I'm looking for an FD.

Sorry if I just pissed someone off, but I'm not about to let someone go hating on another car just because they kept up with or beat one.

I am about three hours from seattle but I could drag it over there. What is this movie about? What is the distribution going to be like? I would love to be in your movie just for fun but if Im going to take the time out I would at least like some free advertising for my shop.

I just p.m.'d you. but about distribution, I want to show it at some Film contests, maybe at HIN Seattle with all the cars that are in the movie together. I think that'd be some major advertising for it there. If I could get all the cars to go to HIN under the movies title it'd be awesome, but I don't know how that'd work out.

All of us that are showing could just do a "As seen in...." or something to that effect. I am thinking of having a booth at HIN seattle this year anyway. Why dont you try to sell it at local shops and on the internet. There is a serious lack of decent movies with cool cars, just the typical rice! If you promoted it right it could work out great for all of us.

I've got access to a mint R1 FD and a show-winning Volkswagen Corrado SLC... Sounds like a fun thing to be involved with.

Not to be a complete jerk about this, but I'm looking for cars that are a little nicer looking. Your car's built, but I need cars that have looks too. Sorry. But if you painted it a color other than brown I'd probably reconsider.

probably about 400rwhp on low boost 15psi 500rwhp at higher boost 20spi.

Hey no problem...just keep in mind that not everyone likes just the 3rd gens

Paint, wheels and suspension are up next. Functionality before looks...

Close but no cigar...I could have had it ready but the pulley elimination kit did not come in. I have seen charts at 420 at 15.5psi. That was on creep though. Here is a link

Here is a video...not to best quality but listen to that jet take off...

http://media.putfile.com/Rx7-FD3S-AF...steve-kan-tune

The guy later pulled the engine apart and found out that it was stock ports

Any FD's think they will be faster?

Around a corner and under braking I will, lol. Z, one of these days you and me need to get together and fab up some new end tanks to eliminate all those boost response killing bends.

Since when is a Dodge Magnum and a 240sx nicer?

I'll accept the Dodge Magnum because it is new and some people *might* like it, but a 240sx dude? How is that supposed to be comparable to everything else on your list or what you're looking for? It's way worse than a 3rd gen, slightly worse than a 2nd gen, and pretty even with a 1st gen as far as the "coolness" factor goes. At least in my opinion...

It's definitely not along the same trends as the rest of the cars on your list. z-beater's car is pretty neat if you know more about cars than looks, or know more about what rotary engine is what. That's hard to show in a video, though, unless you show him racing someone and wasting them

And how come you're not looking for any 2nd gens? Again I come back to the 240sx comment

EDIT:

I just noticed you are talking to Bad2ndGen about his FC, that's good at least.

Okay, I'm just clarifying things here. Now the storyline is about a guy who is going to a school to be a custom car mechanic. Now, not everyone in this school is going to have an NSX right? Not very realistic if I have them with Porsche's and Lamborghini's right? Now about the FB, I'm not hating on his car, it's probably a really fast car, but in all honesty, I'm not looking for cars that are all go, on the flip side, I'm not looking at cars that are all show either. I can't take everyone that says I want to be in a movie. The 240 has had a motor swap and is really clean. The FB is brown, now I'm speaking from a video standpoint and brown isn't a very nice car color on video. Not bagging on Z here, but I'm telling it like it is. The Magnum is more for the luxury crowd as the Porsche's are for the exotic crowd, if I get an NSX, then it'll bridge the exotic and import scene's.

Now I have recieved some p.m.'s about my movie, a few with FD's have agreed to join and on FC, now, I thought I had made this clear that the driving that would be done would not be reckless, not anymore reckless than what the guys at GG were doing around the train tracks. I'm not asking anyone to drift through Seattle or anything like that, any fast driving or drifting would be done on a track, not on the streets. As I believe I have said to anyone I have asked to join, I am not looking to damage anyone's cars, you have all put a lot of time and money into these and I'm not about to ruin them.

This isn't just going to be burn outs, drifting and drag racing, it has more of a story to it, with cars and a small portion of racing mixed in. Again, a lot of my conversation with drivers has been through P.M.'s and e-mail, so not everyone maybe knows all off this. But I'm laying it all out now.
