I guess it depends on what kind of car you drive....Drive my 350z with no front license plate, headers to HKS HI power exhaust that no where looks close to stock lol...Not one ticket. Drive my Lexus no front plate..no problem...Drive my old FC rx7 gets tons of fix it tickets for bull ****...

 

I got pulled over the other day by A state patrol in oly a couple days ago.

He tthought i was drunk so he pulled me over.

Than he asked if i had done any exhaust mods and i told him i got the car that way lol. No ticket for me

 

Yea i got pulled over yesterday by a stater just out side of benton city for loud exhaust, i thought i was dicked, i didnt have insuracne on the 7 casue i never moves, and this time i was at the auto-x with it. for some reason i gave him my insurace card that showed my toyota truck on it and the civic, he handed it back to me and said to get a silencer... i lucked out he let me go, and i informed him when i was going to merge back onto the freeway it was prolly going to be really loud, and he said "im not going to pull you over again"...lol

 

It sucked cause i was not even WOT with wastegate all open and ****. If that was the case then i'd understand why but I was just driving home. Doing the speed limit which was 40. I tried to pull into the mcdonalds drive thru before he could get me. It didnt work. lol. but at least he did not ticket me for not having a front license plate.

 

I have a few cars with no front plate. Drive around bellevue all the time. No problemo. Untill i drive the rx7. the cops Will pull a U turn to pull me over.

 

Almost Forgot. They Do have Exhaust systems now that you can control with a switch in the cockpit. If you want to run silent Or loud. Just a flip of a switch and the Servos change over to another pipe.. I forgot what they are called. But i seen them. So If a cop pulls ya over they have to do a DB reading before they can give a ticket Or its thrown out in court. Switch it to silent and laugh your *** Off after the cop leaves

I have seen those too. I might just pull off my greddy exhaust and throw on the stocker with one of those cut outs. both times i got pulled over the cops did not care how loud it was they just said it was modified and a modified exhaust is illegal. I think this might just be th best solution.

 

QTP cutouts are nice, but be warned, the motors love to go out. several LS1 owners use them and maybe a handful have never had to replace it. I had mine on for 2 weeks then the motor went bad so i had to send it back and get it replaced. but like i've said, nothing but compliments from the law

 

yeah all the modified car laws are bs. mostly they just screw with imports. I've always had loud exhausts in my last 5 cars and never had an issue. I have been pulled over numerous times for no front plates. Only ticketed once. funny story. I get cut off by a grand am we happen to be turning down the same block about midnight I drop the clutch throw it sideways do a huge burnout about a foot off the other guys bumper. Happened all in front of Washington county sheriff. I pull into my driveway to be blocked in by two of beavertons finest. I was on parole, car smelt of burnt herbs, had two pipes. I'm going to jail and getting my car towed for sure. I have to consent to a search or I go to jail. So I just come clean about the pipes tell the cop I hit oil and lossed traction. So heres what I'm facing Reckless driving, dui, possession of periphenilia, and a few other ticketable offences. after about an hour of bullshitting with the cops we seem to be getting along. they write me a ticket for no front plate, and thats it. good cops I say. BTW I don't do that anymore. No driving around smoking, no street racing, no road raging.

 

Quick question. Can cops see your driving record when they run your drivers license. My co worker said they towed her car on the third modified exhaust ticket. But she told me she was being a bitch to them. The lady at my insurance company is hella cool. She did a little re search for me and found out by a cop that they can suspend my license for having 3 modified exhaust tickets if they really wanted to or they can just raise te price of the ticket. but she said not to qoute her on that cause that info came from one cop. The question is can they really suspend my license for that ****. I have had no speeding tickets. only 1 no front plate and now 2 modified exhaust tickets.

 

No they probably wont suspend it. Your giving them money. If you don't pay however. How do you think they afford them hemi chargers?
