For one, there is a 25% ticket increse for mexicans, just be glad your not black its 200% for them, just ask Tyler = )

Funny stories, I just got pulled over yesterday for modified exhaust. I told the officer that I had a pre-silencer on its way so he told me if he saw me in two days without it fixed he will give me a ticket.

He also told me price of the tickets for this just went up so their going around screwin people over for it.

I got off with a warning though!

no joke i do have a pre-silencer on its way... should get in tomorrow....
I'm thinking about putting it on jackstands, taking out the portion of the exaust I'm putting it into out, marking it all up. That way I can have it done soon after it comes in.... but then I won't be able to drive it for a night....

What if your car is registered in another state? This is legal for me because I am in the military. I just arrived in the area, and wonder about these things. Speaking of arrival (threadjack alert) does anyone know of a house for rent with a garage that allows pets in the Tacoma area?

LoL. I have insurance now you ******* douche. I couldn't afford $280 a month when I was younger.

Not only that, but most insurance companies are crooked as hell. You give them a ton of money every month, and then when you need their help with something, they try and weasel their way out of it.

So, currently I have the bare minimum with an insurance company that won't hardly do anything for me or the other person. I just put money into a savings account and I am going to be getting a bond that allows me to drive without insurance as long as I don't don't the money.

Also, if you tried to get out of your car and mess with me because I didn't have insurance, I would shoot you. I don't have any problem pulling my gun on some ******' retard that wants to get out of his car and try to assault me. Then what would your family do? LoL. **** with me and you will be sorry.

Sigarms ftw!

Try electing some conservatives to office over there and the government will stay out of your lives.

I've been wanting to go back to a stock cat, but have had a hard time justifying wasting $300 on a HF cat. Well, sounds like I got a legitimate reason for the swap now.lol
Anyone want to buy a 3'' HF cat w/ an O2 bunghole?

Man, I'm glad I don't live in Washington! I had to drive up there a week or so ago to get my 7, and there were cops all over the place! In Eugene, the cops are so lax...

Cops

Yeah i got pulled over 3 times so far no ticket yet. I have a 95 civic hatch here in the tri-cities, i actually asked a cop what they consider modified just to see what they would say. And he told me that if they saw an old muscle car that wouldn't pull them over but he would pull over me!!!! Hmmmm thats kind of funny. They are gay!!!

do you have any more info on the bond? i may be interested in going this route eventually. it's my understanding that the bond is there to CYA in the case you're in an accident... and you have to have proof of it as proof of financial responsibility.

also... let me understand the last passage- you plan to shoot anyone who gets out of their car around you 'in a threating way'????.... armed or not, threatening or not... depending on how you interpret their movement toward you???

Just checked the Revised Code of Washington about this. No law exists saying it can't be louder than stock. Here's what the law actually says:

RCW 46.37.390
Mufflers required — Smoke and air contaminant standards — Definitions — Penalty, exception.

(1) Every motor vehicle shall at all times be equipped with a muffler in good working order and in constant operation to prevent excessive or unusual noise, and no person shall use a muffler cut-out, bypass, or similar device upon a motor vehicle on a highway.

So basically, he decided that your exhaust was excessive.

checked it last night cuz i got pulled over for loud exhuast too!

Are you sure that’s the only law covering motor vehicle exhausts? I don't really know but I assume there could be multiple laws that cover similar things. For example there could be another law that says aftermarket exhaust systems are illegal.

It's really kind of ridicules. My friend was driving his AE86 a few weeks ago and go pulled over for not having his front license plat at the front of his vehicle, it was in his windshield. Anyway, he got a ticket, went to court, and the judge said that it was not proper placement and that he was "enforcing all these kinds of tickets that came through his court room". Other people we talked to had gotten tickets for unapproved exhaust modifications, vehicle lowering, and other BS tickets. Basically it's their way on cracking down on the tuner crowd.

PS: When my friend was ticketed a 60's mustang with strait pipes rumbled past on full slicks and the cop didn't bat an eye. They are only focusing on imports for the most part.

"I wish we could get a law passed stating that all violations of city code results in the money going to the state. The state would then re-imburse money to the city as needed.
See how many bullshit tickets are given out after that. "

Such a law was passed in this state many years ago after the scandal about the speed trapping in North Bend. To the best of my knowledge, it is still in effect. Parking tickets are still locally controlled, but moving violations are paid to the state, unless there has been a change I don't know about.

Of course that doesn't mean the cops are not rated in some way by their superiors for the number of tickets they write.

As for deliberately driving without insurance, that definitely puts you in the irresponsible ******* category. You should get a job as a traffic cop!
