So i just bought a really nice 1990 GTU in cottage grove a couple days ago, i bought it for the interior mostly, but was amazed when i got down there and saw the condition of the car... Red on black GTU... No major issues, some roughtness to the interior, but all the parts i needed are there...

( BY THE WAY, **** ITS HARD TO PUT A S5 INTERIOR IN A S4 CAR!!!!! )


So i got it loaded up... Talked the guy down to 350.00 for it, yes i am one of those craiglisting ********, but the kid really had no want or like for the car, and i do .... He moved away from home and took his truck and had no interest in it anymore.. His loss!


So yeah, got it loaded up, brought it home, and cleaned it up.. Found it to be way more than a parts car, so i decided to put some interior parts in my RHD and then find the car a new home.. After my wife made it VERY clear i will be divorced and she will make me leave if i get another car my friend who helped with the rhd wanted it.. So, its his now... But wasnt this a score and a half!! to bad i cant keep them all lmao

I just wanted to keep it, or use it as a parts car, but just couldnt do it

 

Since you 'loaded it up, does it have an engine? Run? Building one?
Looks pretty good and for $350 even w/o an engine it's a pretty good deal.

Parts of that interior don't look great, but the body... WOW! That was a great find man.

Glad that you're not tearing it all down, that should be saved for the damaged/v8 bastardized cars

yeah the car is solid all around. Good engine and tranny, exhaust, interior was a bit shabby and had some broken parts, but nothing i needed so i wasnt to burnt. i am stealing the rims from him for the T2 as well XD

I understand to well my wifes want for there to be no more cars, she has a seven (t2) and i have two, a catalina and a for swb, we also have a suburban and my friend is staying with us for a couple weeks and he has three cars.. so its a little cluttered here.....:\

But i am parting with the engine and tranny as he wants to go t2 and i gave him the shell (the car has new paint if you didnt notice!)... It will be a shortblock and i am parting out the externals and exhaust (which may already be gone?) I also got a couple more trannys and rads and such with this car i dont need... So if anyone needs anything?

I traded him the modernized tail lights for the stock ones also, the modernized ones look good but have some cracks and the stock ones are mint

I got that T2 in wenachee last night.. Took a 16 hr straight drive to get it, but was worth it! It has susp tech sways, tokico blues, ebiach lowering coils and more, its pretty cherry too! I am parting it out, but will be using most of the parts.. Anyone around here need a shell when i get what i need? It will literally be a bone shell, i need gas lines , tank, mostly everything (the sweeeet cherry t2 hood!).. But its a t2 shell....

correction, the coils are also susp tech.... And i am putting all this on my RHD, its just shy of a couple engine parts and exhaust that i am hoping to get in the next day or so and it will be good to go

how much for the T2 shell? Edit I don't need one, but always nice to have a spare that I can clean up in the mean time. so when I finnally kill my T2. I'll have a nice fresh shell that isn't covered in grease front to rear. Getting another financail aid check soon.
