Holy crap... stolen cars

Ok Well my 7 is safe and warm in my garage, but i want to warn all you guys that you should keep your **** safe.

Seems like there have been a lot of stolen cars out there. Just a couple days ago my friends civic was jacked and it will probably be found parted out in some lot. Also my bosses civic was stolen a couple months ago.

but now im seeing that there are a lot of stolen threads out there now aswell.

its scary, i dont like leaving my 7 out at work now... freaks me out haha

ohwell just to give out a warning

I havent heard of any 7's being stolen yet, hopefully all the kids driving civic's and 240's wont move to buying 7's so that demand for parts and what not increase.....

Yeah, I was going to say something like that. If someone got in my 7, it would take at LEAST a good 10 mins to figure out how to start it. I have my fuel pump switch, ignition switch, and the fact that if you give it any gas while cranking or early idling it will die. I'm more than confident that my battery would die before they would be able to get it to idle, cranking it over 10-20 times without fuel or spark until they find the switches and learn the perfect throttle to make it start.

Now that I have said this, anybody on here could steal my car but I am not worried. In this weather I am sure that no one but me can keep it on the road under any load other than full vac. Also my car is full ninja stock NA looking.

Also looking from some of those stoken car threads, it looks like they steal some weird things. Parts of the engines, radiators, and stuff. It's not like they could steal our car, take the engine off, and sell ........ the .... valves and ... heads and .. what ever is in those piston things. I really think if someone popped my hood, they would see the turbo, and realize it would take WAY to much work to get it off the engine. Then they don't even know if it is worth anything, unlike the well known honda engines and such. People just don't seal Rx7s. Well no one would steal and FB .... maybe a pimped out out FC, or a nice FD though ...

zero cats, but a 3 inch resonator... Car runs great after installing the power fc. It was sooo fucked up before that, couldn't give it any gas with completely bogging down

I think knowing that I have hidden switches, and that 50% of the time rotary engines start every time, will be enough to deter someone that knows of the secrets to think twice.

I missed the actuasl dyno but prior to that your car was pretty loud, I left in my 214mph SHO just before it was your turn

call me crazy but when I park the 7 I turn the fuel off, pull out all the main fuse, pull the spark plugs, turn the battery off, lock the doors, put a club on the steering wheel, lock the clutch, arm the alarm, install parking boots around all four wheels, put two car covers over it and lock them and then and only then I can sleep at night. lool

Don't forget you sleep IN the car with your assault rifle just in case Aaron

lol my solution is a breaker between the main fuse and battery when the car is in storage [otherwise the alarms (plural) are armed], locked garage, and house alarm... Plus I block it in with my Taurus, and well that car is too intimidating to try and move it
