Hit With the ONE TWO WHAMMY!!Help

Ok this is Not my day.. First off i got a ticket last Night For 15 over and no insurance In granit falls(meth capital of the world). And i would like to know What is the Best way to Fight it, Im going to get insurance and then Im going to go and Hope to get that reduced, However I am trying to figure out how to fight the 15 over that cost 122bucks,, Any idea??

THEN to Top that Off on the way back home the car started to lose power and Now im running on like one rotor! BUT i dont have the compression tester here that i had before at the other place. WOuld anyone have one? IT wont idle and sounds like its running on one rotor,. if i rev it up to like 2k it seems to run "ok" . it runs on two rotors at above idle and Cruises Fine at freeways speeds. when i slow down it runs on one rotor agian, I could start working on it but im so frustrated, Im hoping its Just a bad/stuck injector, Would anyone like to donate a few minutes to help me figure it out? if you would please call me 253-227-2180, thanks fellow rotorHeads..

pull the plugs and listen for 3 strong pulses on each rotor... do 1 rotor at a time...

The Key Penninsulla in Purdy Wa. is the Meth Capital of the State. Has been for like 10 years now...

Do you have any other tickets on your record? If not, get insurance, and show the proof of that when you go and they will drop the no insurance ticket. What was the 15 over in? the higher the speed limit, the better chance you have that they will let you off with a 2 year probabtion period. (thats if you mitigate it)

Contest the ticket. And than change the court date as many times as possible, and try to get your contested court date as far away as possible, (This really pisses the cops off) becuase when you contest it, the officer has to show up in court aswell. And alot of the times, if you drag it on.. and skrew up there schedual enough they wont even show up.. and it gets droped.

My 2 cents.

Goodluck with your motor

I think you're lucky enough you didn't get thrown in jail or had your license revoked for driving without insurance, so just pay the fine and move on.

Like I said in the thread you posted about this in the 2nd gen section, a guy from my high school when I went there got his license revoked for driving without insurance, and my friend got t-boned by a guy with no insurance who is now in jail.

Just be happy it's not worse than it COULD be...

I was going 69 in a 55! the thing of it was it was 60 mph Coming down highway 92. then i turned onto Highway 9 into granit falls and i guess it was 55. Well DANG i didnt see no speed limit sign anyways. Maybe im blind. hell im going to go back and look! I was thinking.. Can i get off by saying that my speedo was reading to Low. And say i that it showed me going closer to 59? would the faulty speedo meter thing work? i was thinking of many exuses..OH btw it was my First Time driving up there at night, it was 12am, wrogn time to roll thru that area, ya think they would take that in mind?

No you can't do that. Technically they could say that you should do proper maintenance on the car to keep everything working properly, and factory specs for a 2nd gen show that the speedo be at least within 5mph of actual speed.

I got a ticket for speeding when I got new rims on my SUV and tried that but it didn't work, and my excuse was actually true.

You can try and make up all the excuses you want but the fact is that you deserve what you got. You were speeding and you were driving without insurance. If you had hit someone that only had liability, THEY would've been screwed and you would not have had to pay for any of it unless they got a lawyer and took you to court which would end up costing more!

Excuses dont work in court. Your gunna have to try to get a probabtion, or find a loop hole in the system, attornys do it all the time. Hell, get an attorny for $300 bucks if you dont want the speeding ticket.

You can ask for probabtion, its perfectly normal to ask for a chance to prove that you dont normally speed, and this was a one time thing. Although, if you get another ticket in the probation period, than you will get both tickets on your record. If its your first offense, the judge will normally give you the probabtion as an option right of the bat. Thats how my city is anway.

Well for what its worth. I check comp. both rotors pushing three strong pulses. Dont have a comp tester as of yet, but they both sound even and just as loud. I fired it up idles Perfect for like 3 seconds then started missing agian. So to me i have hope, Floods everytime now, but if i do the kill switch trick it will start, im thinking stuck open injector? Btw just forget about the ticket part. i dont care right now. I hit a nerve.. so Forget it. im on to other things

I can swing by this weekend with my compression tester and give it a shot or maybe tonight when I'm off work.

I'm curious if a seal is sticking part of the time and causing some compression loss. I've had a few of my motors do something like this.
