Why are there cars still there they have been closed for quite some time?
Do the owners not want them or does hayes own them?
I saw a lot of FC and FB's there last time I drove by, I think one FD also

I am currently working on rebuilding an engine that came from them. Had super strange rotors in it, and stationary gears from an fc. Really strange if you ask me. Kinda lame. It also said that it had, had a large street port done to it. The ports were totally stock. Shocking huh?

I thought they got shut down two summers ago. last time i drove past they were locked down that was 2005. they were coming in at night after hours to sneak in because they were told not to work there.

Yes that is about the right timeframe.

On a side note, I got my A/C recharged at the shop just up from Hayes. He hated them as neighbors. Couldn't beleive how many housings the guy down there had, and how he must be waiting to find someone that could "recoat them" He told me he didn't like RX7s because they all smelled like "that" (pointing to my exhaust) I told him its because most of us pull our cats off

I love the smell of our cars... and as for the cats. Well i gutted Mine long time ago.. to bad there is still a peice in there that somtimes blocks my exhaust and then i have no power till i backfire it to get the peice loose agian.. Not to mention the damn leak that got worse. because of the blockage forcing the air to eat into whats left of the small hole that was there from the start.
