F'in Theives

Well I woke up for school this morning at 6am and when I went out to my car (honda accord) I found the door slightly cracked open and the door light on. First though was, damn left my door open and my battery is probably dead. But then I realized that the door light would not have been on at all if I had left it open when I got home from work (the battery would have been dead because the car would have had the door open from 7:30pm when I got home from work yesterday until this morning). My glovebox was opened and everything was torn out of it and sorted though. Only thing taken was my bookbag! They didn't open the trunk and take the tools and carbs I had back there. Damn it! All of my books, my notes, my calcutaor, some test tools. basically everything I need for college was in there! I am filing a police report when I get out of college today and getting some stuff fingerprinted! I just want a name, that is all. My rx-7 was unlocked but was not touched. It has new speakers and CD deck, some tools, and other odds and ends that could be of value. All of the cars are getting locked now... even the van! God damn it people. Earn a living, get your own ****, get a life, and f'in make your habits your own problem. God damn drug addicts!*&@^&#%%^!!!!

Just had my driver's side window smashed in and my stereo jacked this morning when I was getting ready to go to class. Luckily my FD is back in Pittsburg, just have the truck up here in Wichita. Will definitely rent a garage or something when I bring it up.

wow what is going on...
i am glad my cars have no decks or radio equipment in them right now (havn't replaced them since they got re-jacked)
It must be really expensive to buy drugs or whatever the hell they are trying to buy right now with all these things getting jacked!
I just wish there was something we could do about it, since there is really no way to recover anything nor will the police even take a report (at least from us anymore) due to the stuff stolen being so little in value (last time dash was messed, 70$ deck stolen, and about 25 cds)
i'm just glad its just stuff out of it rather than the actual cars themselves, even though it still sucks with them being violated like this.

400+ dollars worth of books, electrical test equipment for class, notes, and all schoolwork. My teacher does most of his testing based on lecture so I got screwed! Fortunately I can get notes from some one else in class, but i still am out a book and all the school supplies and related stuff I bought for the course. F'in addicts!

yes, kill them... kill them all with fire
and getting school stuff stolen is far worse than a radio or anything IMO (plus more expensive), especially notes, if I were to get my japanese notes stolen i would be in a wreck... and I don't even have that class anymore, they have become in very good tool for me. I hope somehow you will be able to get some stuff back etc... best of luck to ya

Why the eff would someone steal books? Are they able to sell them back to the book store like at the last college I went to? I mean, what really expensive stuff that has a "market" would someone have in a backpack? I just dont see why it would be a target. Youre right though, I hate thieves. I just wish they had broken into my car rather than take the whole damn thing.

If people would just understand how much someone has to work for everything, but to take from others hard work....

just doesn't make any sense still. i had a portable cd player sitting on the passenger side that wasn't touched. Instead they pulled everything out of the glovebox and had it all over the passenger side. They left anything that could have been actually used to make a buck. This is just plain odd! I even cheked in with campus security for the chance that maybe I left my bag in class. Nope, I clearly remember putting it in the back seat when I left school because I had accidentally locked (image that being an accident!) the doors and had to unlock the doors before I could put my bag in the back. What really sucks it I was awake when this happend most likely> I figure the window of when it happend was between 5am and 6am because I didn't get out to my car until 6:30 am to leave to school and my battery would not have been able to keep the dome light on or turn over the engine if it had been left on for an hour! I know this because I have accidentaly left the dome light on for not even an hour and was not able to get the car to start because the battery had got just weak enough. I took the day off from work because (A) the cable guy was supposed to show up and fix my tv and internet between noon and 4pm. And (B) because I needed to fill out a police report and search the neighboorhood and ask neighbors if they knew anything. So then i was out a day of pay, my school supplies, and all of the notes I had taken which are necessary for the course! I looked all over the neighborhood, even looking through the garbages of the apartment complex and neighbors garbages. i searched around seeing if my bag had been empited or ditched somewhere. Nothing! I have a test tomorrow that is solely based on notes taken from lecture. Damn it! To top things off I have car problems to fix on my wife's car, a textbook to replace, calculator and some electrical test equipment to replace, car work on the honda (basic water pump, timing belts, adjust valves, spark plugs, distributer cap and rotor, and new plug wires) and still need to get my 7 sold! This sucks royally! MOM! MEATLOAF!!!!!!......F***!!!!!!!!! (Sorry... Wedding Crashers reference, expresses perfectly my anger, I would like to "nunchuck" the ******* that stole my ****!)

I have a friend who allways leaves his car unlocked so if some one wants something they just open the door and take it instead of fugging up his car. It's a totally stock Saturn though funny thing is that outside a jack in the box in Phoenix someone still smashed his window to steal his stock tape deck. lol... the damn door was open.

Yes books can be sold back. And if sold on ebay or other online places can yield a pretty penny. The thing about it is that people really do not implement a recovery system. Meaning that if a book is stolen then they can sell it to anyother joe schmo on the street.

As far as price goes you should look at about getting 50% back from the original buying price. so on my purchase of almost 700 the thief would get about 350-400. Not bad any a hell of a lot safer than stealing tape decks...what cop honestly thinks that a criminal is going to be stealing books.

Damn...I am pissed! It seems like they pick on seven owners!

working as a installer for over 12 years taught me one thing, to lock your cars up. I would have customers come in and say "I lock it every night and it took just one night to rip it off" the thieves are always on the prowl, always. there was a girl going around trying to sell some **** and it seemed funny, so I watched her. she left our street and a few minutes later a van pulls up to my neighbors(he wasn't home) place. there are three guys in the van and the girl. they back into his house and start to get out. I ask if they need something, they said they are fixing his house. I said ok, I tell them I will be giving him a call(I help him paint and have his cell#)and go inside to call him and I see them drive off real fast. man people are ****** nut. what area do you live in? did you check the Craigs List to see if someone was selling books there? also put up a big note and notes around the school to see if someone has been offered books for sale lately. probably some kids that live within a mile from you and prowl the neighborhood at night. keep an eye on your ****, times are getting tougher and the holidays are coming, tis the thieving season. ****** bastards

will do. Thanks for the suggestions. I live in Centralia and commute to Olympia for school and work. The book I had is not used at the local college in town because they teach a different program (if they taught the same program that SPSCC did then I would have stayed local for school. I have got really paranoid now especially since there was a "salesman" going door to door at about 9pm and he looked like he was scoping the place out. When he came to our place he was peeking all over the place... Kind of suspicious like, and who the hell goes door to door at 9pm if they are not trick or treaters! My **** is getting locked up good, I even got to keeping a tight lock on my tools at work, I know everyone there, but I have had some tools go missing in the past (nothing major, but still!!!). I know some of the guys at my shop would probably just take stuff because a toolbox was left unlocked! Yet another one of the reasons I am looking for other employment.

put up notes that you need to buy the books, but not all of them so it's obvious. then when the thief contacts you, you contact him, with a baseball bat.

"Excccelent!..." (insert Mr Burns voice). Sounds like a plan. I think pissing in his gas tank would top the revenge off! All I need is a name! I do not have a baseball bat, but I am a big enough guy (6'5" 290lbs). I do have other things I can think of if need be (lug nut wrench, paintball gun, maybe a taser... always wanted to see someone have a voltage induced spaz attack!).
