Exhaust manifold change?

I got the wife intake cleaned up and stripped down, and stripped the nikki, cleaned up an exhaust manifold from my 84 and went to bolt everything up.... the 84 manny is the same as the one I have from my 83, and neither of them work on the 85?! So progress is stopped. I don't know if the one from the 84 was not an 84 or if the 85 is different. Both are GS's. So if anyone close has a stock exhaust manifold for really cheap that would be awsome. Also, I'm curious if anyone knows when they changed, the 85 it looks like would be shorter.?

Thats the one I have here. It goes for about 8 inches and hooks op to the small vbent pipe going under the car. You can get that also when you come pick up your 12A SP.

sweetness! I'm pretty sure I've got everything else to get her on the road. Mine on the other hand will be a different story. LOL Guess I'll be driving the wifes thunderbird while I'm collecting the remainder of the parts to complete MY build.

Not the motor, I'm set there I think. I just gotta get a new fpr and gauge, and I'm giving the wife my rad, I need one of the non fmoc's to use my taurus e-fan and etc. I also have the GSL-SE suspension sitting on the floor at the house I'm remodeling. LOL Was intending to do it all together, so when it's done, IT'S DONE. But I need to get an e-brake connection for one side, some 4x114.3 rims and tires and my shocks. I've got everything else. rb fronts and the eibachs I got from you for the rears. I'll dp the motor swap first, and get the rad, fpr and gauge then. I should be good to go then. I'll have to swap suspensions later. Here's what an idiot I am sometimes..... My fpr was no good at the lower pressures, it said "universal" and I thought that meant it would work at any psi. LOL Since the gauge on it was in 20psi increments with dashes inbetween, I have to get another gauge too. I saw a nice 1-6 liquid filled on ebay and snagged it. Turns out it's 1-6 bar! LMAO Soooooooooo ........... I still need to get a gauge and fpr, but now I have a nice but useless liquid filled 1-6 bar gauge. I musta hit every branch on the way down when I fell outta the "stupid" tree!

Yes, I'll definately take the rad too, and the fpr if you don't need it. New development today ....... Taxes So, we got more than expected.(for a change!) Rapid refund in 8 to 15 days. So I was gonna pick up your motor etc, and get some rims tires and shocks to do my swap with. But the wife found me a cherry GSL with straight body, good paint, new tires, RB springs, nice rims, tokico struts and shocks all around and good interior. For the same price I was going to pay for rims/tires/shocks. Guy's keeping motor/trans/rad. So, I'm going to put the street port and rad into that, get another tranny or pull mine and she's done! Then I'll either put the se suspension into the wifes, or finish the red one and sell or fix and race. I'm so stoked! Good karma's comin around!

I have both types. The range is '81-'83 and '84-'85. Which version do you need?

84/85

It would have to be 84/85. My 84 had a "home made" exhaust that was a frankenstien of welding humor. So I need one to put on it, and my wifes needs one to connect to her stock setup.( I'm getting that from ArmyofOne) What do you want for it? I've gotta get all these 7's running or the landlord is going to make me get rid of em. Seem to have gone from none to 3 workin at 4 in no time! All are "almost" done or already have most of the parts for. Gotta make the time and pick up little odds and ends. Then decide which to keep.

You'll only need to pay me (or rather us) a visit at the next Taco7 meet. Unless you need it sooner.

That's the '84-'85 12A exhaust manifold, right? I got one sittin' right here. Looks to be in very good shape.

I'm doin my best to get at least ONE one the road to make that meet among others. I'll probably need it before the meet though, if the meet is the last fri. of the month. I have most everything exceppt interior stuff to do the wifes car, just need that manifold. Worst came to worst, I'll make her let me take the silver to the meet. LOL But if your married, you know that the minute she decided to have a seven, work stopped on mine till she's on the road. So the sooner I get hers up the sooner I get both of mine done! LOL I'll go ahead with what I have now, and pm you when I "need" it, maybe we could meet up then and I can pick it up. If I get the street port before then, I'll give her that one and get yours at the meet. Either way, Much appreciated!

Well my friend, forward motion is progress. Any progress is better than none, but I've a feeling that soon "slow" isn't a word that will be in your vocabulary. LOL Certainly not when iy comes to your new ride!
