ever have dumb a$$ syndrome

Ok guys,
Feelin really stupid right now, been dealing with a low power out put at wide open throttle for a while now since i got the car one month ago. It is my dd so don't always have time to work on it, just the basics to make sure it get me to work everyday.
So today I have some time to really investigate the install of the engine and other things going on under the hood. I am doing a few things and my old man comes be to see whats up. Chat with him a little about lack of power...... he says step on the throttle, carb linkage only opening HALF way. Old man says dumb a$$ what the hell is wrong with you? I thought I tot you better than that. over sight on my part.............now I feel really stupid.
Long story short, fabbed a new bracket changed the carb linkage and relocated the cable bracket on the carb to get a full pull. gonna go drive it in a bit, see how it really runs getting wide open throttle.

throttle

sorry guys for the late reply.
got it sorted out and man is it running strong now. Armyofone. Got the clutch issue repaired also, just needed more time and money. replaced clutch master and slave and it is working good now, seems to be holding good with no slipping. Just got back from a trip to Portland for a week of training for work stuff. While there went out to check out the sights one night and found some young boys out playing on a side street. Was just hanging out and watching some passes being made.
A young man started asking me questions about the car. I was very causous about answering to many as I did not know anyone there and did want my car stolen or something weird to happen. Anyway, he said let run one off. OK now we are talking some action. wanted to see under the hood.........I said no, his reply......If I beat you then you show everyone what is under the hood, I loose you keep it shut.
All agreed upon, we line up for a race, he is in a bmw m3, sounds really good and looks sharp. I used my track racing experence to dust this kid off by half a car on the other end. we both stopped and got out...................I opened the hood for him to take a look just to get the reaction on his face.............DUDE you just got dusted by a 13b rotary I told him. He did not say a word. I dropped the hood and drove off, did not even go back to the start line area just left. sure would of liked to hear what he told his buds back at the line.

HAHA chalk one up for the rx7 gang.
