I adjusted the carb and I found that the throttle shaft bores need a bit of love. So tomorrow I'm going to put bushings in the bores to correct the problem. Other than that I just need to move the battery to the trunk, Install fan control and fill the tank. I have already burned through 3 gallons just messing with it. Total run time on the engine is about 25 minutes. I guess its a good average, For wide open throttle!! lol. Just keeping you all posted.

Well I found that the engine was seeping a bit of water into the engine somewhere so I pulled it and sure enough it had been seeping into the small p-ports. So now I will jusy try with some different material and get it back together before the izzys meet. Everything else works like a charm so this now is the easy stuff.

That's a bummer. What did you use to fill the coolant passages again?

I used standard jbweld over the industrial kneadable epoxy. This time I am making a type of mix with JB Weld industrial strength and aluminium fillings. Then I am going to leave it back from the edge a bit and dress it all with RTV or Silicone. The silicone will protect the epoxy from any leaks should it separarte from the wall.

We live and we learn. Once you stop learning you might as well be dead for you are of no use to yourself...

Its sad to hear of the water leak but at least you caught it early before you have to go searching for new parts haha

Btw I took it out for a spin finally and I have to admit it is a lot more civil than I expected for this setup. No hard bucking on decel and it accelerates pretty smooth up to around 7k with a fairly restrictive muffler. I am using a 3" flowmaster as a presilencer and then it goes over the axle into a 12a single inlet racing beat power pulse muffler. I definitely have to wrap the flowmaster or get a RB presilencer or RB turbo straight through muffler with a thicker wall. Come he'll or high water I am driving this to work this week!
