Dyno Day 2/28
The local volvo guys are doing a dyno day and there is some room for a couple more cars if any of you are interested in seeing your numbers.
It's at Kito in Ballard
SATURDAY FEB 28TH 2009 @ 11AM
COST IS $75 PER PERSON
AFR - YES!
AWD - YES!
Let me know if you are interested and I'll add your name to the list.
Here's the Volvospeed thread. http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index...c=111133&st=80
Some tips:
Before you arrive:
Please follow these instructions to ensure that your tuning session goes smoothly.
- Follow the Pre-Dyno Session Check list below.
- Arrive at least 20 minutes early.
- Arrive with at least ½ tank of fuel or more.
- Be flexible. Your scheduled slot may be pushed forward or back depending on how other tuning sessions progress.
Pre-Dyno Session Check list:
A few days before your scheduled dyno session please do a visual inspection by looking under the hood of your vehicle and checking the following:
- Fluids: Check that all fluid levels are correct and not leaking:
- New Engine Oil
- Coolant
- Transmission
- Brake Fluid
- Spark Plugs: Make sure that you have good plugs and the gaps are up to spec. Bad plugs and/or plugs gapped incorrectly will lead to issues during your dyno tuning session.
- Belts: Make sure that all belts are in good condition, replace if necesessay.
- Hoses: Check and make sure that all hoses are tight and properly connected.
- Boost control: Make sure your boost controller is working properly.
- Intake: If you have an oiled air filter, check that the MAF sensor is clean. An oiled MAF sensor will provide inconsistent readings and won't allow us to properly tune your vehicle.
- If you have a standalone, make sure you bring all necessary accessories required for tuning (software, cables & etc.).
- Exhaust System: If we are going to be reading AFR's from the tailpipe, it is extremely critical that there are no leaks. Leaks will skew the AFR readings and will not allow us to properly tune your vehicle.
- Wheels & Tires: Make sure that they are balanced and have sufficient amount of tread. NO SNOW TIRES

Well.. in an effort to be a responsible manager... i will be working this sat... Friday off for garage funzies, Sun off for AutoX class... I hope the teacher doesn't spank me. Speaking of, chris! i need your help... since nowadays i just ask you instead of figuring out myself... Remember last week when i told you my clutch pedal got stuck down several times while on the course? Can you give me a hand in figuring out wtf's up? That pretty much takes the fun outta AutoX

Grae, you can always autocross the -R-. Seriously not going to be at the dyno, who am i going to cry to when my wagon only busts out a 167 fwhp. lol
On a serious note the volvo crew is one short of making 10 people for the dyno, if you want to come out and see what all those mods made horse power wise please do, I will buy you a 23 oz at Rocko friday night. Thanks
