Cartapex Vmount thread

This past weekend, myself and afgmoto1978 (John and adam) made this setup at adams work. Turned out pretty damn nice. Spyder even stoped by to lend a hand sunday evening.

Friday afternoon thru sunday at 11:59 pm!! It's amazing how much you can do with the right tools and a big brain buddy! Especially since we had to completely modify the rad tank and chop the IC.

Wow, it lookds just as nice as wallyhojos and it took about 4 months less time and 5000 dollars cheaper... Good job guys. Nice shop, could you by chance tell me what the dimensions on it are? Also, that miller syncrowave, is huge, what the heck do you guys use that for?

My goal is to have a shop like that at my house one day and know how to use it hehe. If you consider how many hours those guys worked at 65-70$hr like most shops charge I dont doubt it would add up close to $5000.

You guys need to stop talking numbers so much! My freinds will start charging me the going rate!! Seriously. If not for them I would still be pulling the motor out of my S5 and thinking about how to put the S4 TII motor into my car. They have been an immense help and I owe it all to them. Spyder, Moto..you guys are awesome and very much appreciated. JOhn

Man I wish I had that shop like Freightshakers .Nice to have buddies that have access to those things.Adam YOU ARE THE MAN ! Looks sweet John .Now get that ***** tuned ! You got about 3 weeks .Dave said he won't be able to make it on the 5th because Missy will be working that weekend and he's tight on cash .Do you think George would/could help out with the babysitting ? On the cash part I was thinking of taking part of my credit with your shop and paying for his track day for his birthday .Give me a ring and tell me what you think

Actually when I was building race cars for a living I charged $85 and yes it would have been around 5000+ for this setup. We're not quite finished though, still need to finish the rubber isolation mounts for the IC, ducting for the IC, gold heat wrap on the after IC tubing, IC tubing support tabs, soft seal between the Rad and IC, soft seal between the Ic and front hood support beam, block off plates for the air filter, and few other small details. It turning out pretty clean with proper rubber isolation on both Rad and IC.

The IC is 7.5 x 23 X 3.5, way overkill for the stock turbo, but will be ideal when he goes to a T3/T4 setup. I wanted a 10.5 X10.5 X 3.5 bar and plate setup, but Pinky was being a cheap bastard and didn't want to wait, LOL.

Hey Pinky you forgot to put a picture of my good side.
