WA car hit in parking lot

So have not been driving the 7 all week, parked at work and using the company van for work. Been moving the car everyday to the front of the store and blocking it in to prevent theft.

So tonight I move it, get out, walk to the passenger side to grab a few thing out of the car I need at home, look to the rear bumper and it is sticking out at the bottom. WTF....take a closer look at what is up. rear passenger rear side marker is cracked, rear screw missing, side rubber is pushed in and a nice dent in front of the tail light assembly. enough to crack the paint and be seen.

I know it was not like this last Saturday night when I got home because I pulled the lens to replace the bulb in preperation for the holiday weekend as I did not need any problems and was checking all the lights, and replaced the side marker bulb.

well I am not too upset as the wide body kit is in the works and body work will need to be done. But what the hell. if it was done in a parking lot over the weekend why was I not left a note by the person who hit my car. I would have just accepted an apoligy and not persued an insurance claim as the body work is not far away. just do not understand people sometimes. I have bumped a few cars in lots over the years, happens sometimes.......ALWAYS left a note and took care of the owner one way or another.

life goes on just one more area to fix.

Joe

The one thing I think is good out of all of this, thank god you didn't have the mode 1 kit on there yet. That would have been a travesty. Hope the damage is minimal. Pics?

I feel your pain man, someone side swipped my pathfinder (Puyallup) when I had that in a parking lot. With my expedition someone swipped the running board (Kent) and both times no note was left.

that really sucks. But like Horn said, better now than once the kit was on it. Any paint left from the other car?

dent is a small roller right at the rear side rubber, and paint is cracked at the lip for the tail light opening. There is a small streak of silver paint on the marker lens. not very noticeable to most.
