Bringing Steve Kan Back
Per hour rates would be around 125/hr(we might be able to haggle this down to 100). Last tune session cars were on the dyno for around 1.5hrs. Some were on there for 30mins others were on there for 2hrs. If we did this people would probably average a bill of around 150-200. The thing that is nice about this though is that everyone is seperate. It adds clarity between who owes what.
Jet City offered to rent to us the whole day for ~600+tax. So for a grand total out the door of around 650. This would mean that every person would be charged around 110. The major problem with this is that I would be sticking my neck out for something that I have no financial stake in. Since I do not know many of the people that are tuning it is hard for me to make this commitment.

hourly rate
Can you get the shop to agree to the $650 daily rate on the basis that it would be paid individually, and, without you being personally on the hook, Zbeater? You can point out to the shop that the guys have already put down a $200 dollar deposit, each, with Steve, and are therefore committed. Assume you've already tiried that tack, but had to ask : ) In any case, you've done so much to set this up, you absoultely should not take on any liability for the dyno costs - I have no problems with an hourly rate.

It was worth a shot though. The problem is that the shop can't ensure that everyone is going to show up, and neither can I. I want to keep the cost as low as possible for everyone. The cheaper the better. When? We are pretty booked up for the May session but I am sure that we could fit you in the next one.
Due to the holiday I am afraid that I won't get the payment until late Friday. I am going to trust that everyone is going to make it. If you don't I will hunt you down
Bring $110 cash for the dyno.

My tune (after adding the 15% for the different dyno) came out to 391 rwhp on approx 1 bar. The damn turbo has asthma! The t04e couldn't flow anymore.
Many props to z-beater for putting me up and making me feel welcome. Thank you.

Awesome! .57 or .60 t04e? Interested in selling your turbo and going to something bigger? Congrats on the nice numbers! Chart? When does boost hit? Specs on your build? I am looking for a t04e, and would love to know any/everything about your car. (if you want to share that is, I know some people don't and that is still cool.)

My car was tuned after Cosmo105's. Steve K. had indicated that the Dyno Dynamics dyno that was being used typically produce numbers 15% lower than DynoJets. My car's best run was 284RWHP or equivalent to about 326 RWHP on a Dyno Jet. For comparison, the car was tuned and dynoed at 282 RWHP on a Dyno Jet last summer (Steve was not the tuner then). Only additions to the car since last summer are new plug wires, and HKS Twinpower.
On the 200 mile drive back home, the car was noticeably faster and much smoother. I can't get over how smooth it feels. The difference in Steve's tune and previous tunes is night and day. Definitely the best bang for the buck that I've spent on the car. Also have to say, Zbeater (Dave) has done an awesome job putting this all together. Tip of my cap to him. Also great meeting all the guys that were there.
