black rx-8 yesterday morning, you know who you are.
rx8 drivers do not know how to drive
As for whp for the rx8, we are starting to see some decent numbers. It will not be long before 400whp is attainable. Right now we are seeing 300-350whp with a few different FI options. Some with greedy kit when properly tuned are approaching 300whp as well.

I find it hard to believe that you ran that with only weber and exhaust, you had to have had more work done or very extensive weight reduction or something. The stock GSL-SE's ran 15's so for you to say you gained possibly over a second just from those two things is hard to swallow.

Drag radials. Thats what I'm guessing. In my FD with 225/50/16s thats what a good 60ft looks like. But on the other hand, you're trap speed is'nt as fast as my 8.
Nice times though. CJ

No drag radials... 185/70-13' bridgestones on the stock 13" rims. don't hate that 20 years of engineering still couldn't help you beat a 7. The 7 can't lose! And a 2.0 60ft sucks! If you think that's a good 60' you're crazy. I was ableto hit 1.90 on those same tires. LEARN TO DRIVE That run might've been a fluke cause I was only able to back it up once with another 14.6, but the car normally ran a 14.75-14.91 with 2.0 60ft's. In a FD with 225's you should be hitting 1.7-8 60'fts If you plan on running 11's one day you'll need to learn to launch your FD and get down into the 1.5's for 60 fts. I thought I was fast running 14.9's with 2.2 60ft's until someone from NJ on nopistons told me I couldn't drive he was running 11.9 with 200whp in his FB. Hitting 1.7 60fts n drag radials. I practiced and practiced until I could launch the **** out of my car. And there are plant of witnesses to my car being ful interior intake and exhaust and running these times. Hornbm watched me win Battle of the imports, and lovehate knows my old car very well. Shoot there's probably 10 poeple in the NW section that could vouch for me.

I'm not saying it wasn't impossible, I'm just saying I'd rather drive a 8 than a FB any day. With that being said, I own a 84 with alot of work done to it. I would still take my 8 any day. You're 14.6 is nice for a 1st gen, is by no means impressive. And I'd still out mph you in the 1/4. Who cares?
I'm calling BS on 200rwhp in the 11s, uless the car is in the 1600lbs.
I know how to drive. I ran my bone stock FD at Woodburn when I first picked it up. My best time was a 13.5@101.96. Almost the same exact time and speed that most magazines where reporting for the day.
When it comes down to it, whats it matter? If you're happy with your 1st gen, then cool. I'm sure there alot of people who like there 8s just as much as you like your first gen. Merry Christmas, cj
