Talking Big Thanks to Hankook Tire in Lynnwood!

I kept driving by this "Hankook Tires" place on my way to Alderwood mall and finally decided to stop by to check on alignment prices as my fb was in serious need of an adjustment. The owner Young has a super nice alignment machine, he hooked me up with a performance alignment (-2 degrees camber and a little extra toe in... my car had toe out and was handling like crap) for get this... 40 bucks! Speedware and other performance shops had quoted me over 100! I seriously can't thank them enough for hooking me up, if you live in the Seattle to Everett area they are worth checking out, I highly recommend them!

Just be forewarned the driveway can be a little harsh if you've got a lowered car... didn't take it at an angle and ended up hitting my exhaust.

40 bucks is a hella good price. but last time I checked general performance alignments run a 1/16-1/8 total toe out in the front it helps with turn in. Toe in causes more problems than you want.

So silly question do they sell Hankook tires like a Firestone or Les Schwab shop does?

Do them a favor and post a review on that yelp link you provided. As a buisness owner I can attest to the fact that every positive review posted online is valuable.

+100 on that. good reviews are much harder to get than bad :0)

I will have to check this place out once my 7 is painted and on the road. I actually have bran new Hankook tires on it now. Free alignment for a sponsor maybe?

Big huuge plus one for Young. He's a VW guy. I heard about him on vwvortex. I took my audi in for some new tires + he hooked me up with some awesome hankooks. I will def take all 3 of my cars to him for alignments, and also the wifeys car. If I had the dough for rims, I'd get them from him too.

He went as far as sitting with me and talking while my tires were being installed. He saw me at a get together several months later + asked how the tires were. Young isn't only a cool guy, but a great business owner too. He told me how basically he was tired of his alignment being within spec + not perfect, so he got his own top of the line alignment machine.

Again, great great business there. Help out a local guy!

Yeah totally agree, we sat and chatted for a while. I'm an aerospace engineer, turns out he's also got an aerospace engineering degree, opened his shop when the economy took a dump. If you stop by ask to check out his HPA turbo'd R32, that HPA turbo kit is top notch quality complete with a water-air intercooler setup.

@woundup7 I had been running a little toe out but the freeway drive was downright sketchy with this sloppy old steering box. My box has tons of play in it, with the toe out I'd catch a rut on the freeway and start heading to the next lane over, it takes close to a quarter turn on the wheel before the steering starts reacting. With the toe in I'm able to at least keep the car going straight and in my own lane. Once I save up the dough for the respeed rack and pinion upgrade I'll be headed back and getting the toe set to 0 and getting some more camber. (I've got the respeed camber plates right now but they are maxed out right now due to the adjuster nuts hitting the strut tower, also a correction I meant to type -1.2deg camber not -2, -2 is what I wanted but it wasn't physically possible)

I actually tried a couple times to write a review on yelp but it kept timing out when attempting to create an account on there.
