Angry Bastards!!!

Between 2:30 and 4:00 pm yesterday while my friend's home was unoccupied someone broke into his shop to get to his car. He has a show car some of you may have seen at the local shows. It's a Candy Red 2001 Chevy Cavalier with 19" Foose wheels and airride suspension. They got into his car and took his Kenwood indash DVD player (f***ed up his dash i the process), his two Coustic amps custom painted to match his car, and two Audiobahn 1 farad polished capacitors. They tried to take his entire fiberglass box with 4 12"s in it but it is molded to fit where the backseat should be and is not coming out. They f***ed that up too tryin to wedge it out the door with the speakers still i it. Looks like they heard someone coming and left in a hurry and were on foot (easy to escape into the woods). No evidence any vehicles were there and with how much sh*t is there in his shop they coulda made off with more than the $4,000 of stereo equipment they got if they had a vehicle. If you see/know/hear of anyone selling any of this let me know. With the remote location of his house it HAS to be someone we know or a neighbor and that someone needs to pay

These are pics from our trip to Idaho in July and HIN 2006.

That is f....d up.

I like the way thieves are dealt with in some less "civilized" cultures. Steal something and you lose a hand!

Sorry about the loss. Its bad enough having your daily beater messed with, but your baby, your pride and joy. Get those thieving pieces of sh..... Make them pay.

That is f'ed up. If I ever caught someone in that situation I would become very violent and probably kill someone. Nothing angers me more than someone stealing someone elses property.

Yeah I got to his house and his dad came out totin a pistol and said "I have a gun and I will shoot you!" He was PISSED!!!

TOOSHORT it may have been this car cuz that's where his paint and bodywork gets done, but I have also been informed he has a copycat down there.... His car is not down there very often.

It's amazing the difference between posts here and on NoPistons... No respect there. Most of those guys who replied are dumbsh*ts.

The houses up in that area right by HWY 20 and Costco and all that on the East side of the freeway are kinda in the bad part of Burlington where people don't take care of their properties... At least from what I've noticed from the 3 years I worked construction and the time I have spent as a real estate agent... Not saying ALL of Burlington. I just NEVER see nice cars when I am in that specific area. But I do know there are some very nice parts of Burligton cuz I helped build a lot of new homes. Most of the new communities are further East.

Hyper4mance2k-
I'm glad you showed up, but I do believe you were the one who mentioned an ***-kicking, so that makes you the e-tough guy... I just told you where I'd be if you'd like to continue... But if you'll excuse me it's time to go make some money so I can rice my car out

I considered roids, but a healty diet and good exercise plan can get you great results too. The key is to eat healthy most people over look that factor. I just made some cake if anyone wants some. It's chocolat!! But back to subject. Has your friend tried the local pawn shops that'll probably be his best bet on getting his stuff back.

He was asking me where the pawn shops are... But I am no expert on pawn shops so I only know of a few on the main roads in Everett.. Which is where we suspect they would be. We are 90% sure we know who planned the break-in... He has a friend who asked him for a loan... He said no... She needs money bad cuz she's a meth-head now.. And she kept calling him asking him when he'd be home, would his parents be there, could she come over, are you home yet, what time will you be home... etc! Crazy b*tch most likely sent her friends cuz she knows a lot of people who steal cars/stereos.... Just trying to figure out the best course of action to confront her... And he's already buying new **** cuz his insurance doesn't want to give him money... Even though the stuff is insured!! Same company I had when my Integra was stolen and they tried to claim half my mods as factory options and wanted to give me $300 for 2 week old wheels!!! Anyways, i fought and fought and fought for $4,000 and the other $6,000 was a loss...

AVOID Country Companies Insurance at ALL costs!! They suck!!!!!!!

If he's all the way up in burlington my best guess would be check the local ones. Hit up the yellow pages I'm sure there are some.

Sorry to hear about what happened Tim. My guess is they already had a buyer for what was stolen. The stuff they took would be easily recognized sitting in a pawn shop by the sound of it and don't you have to show ID when you pawn something?

As far as insurance companies go, don't get me started, I hate them all. They are not in the business to give money away and standard operating procedure is to deny every claim at least once. Taking on a giant like an insurance company can be intimidating at best and most people give up. To hire an attorney is expensive because most don't take property damage cases on a contingent basis so you end up paying their hourly rate and often it's not worth it. In the end the insurance company wins, but they always do because they raise premiums to cover any loss in profit. They have the law on their side too because we have to carry insurance to drive. Grrrrrrrrrrrr

so far state farm has been great to me. they have covered anything that was properly declaired and with decent speed
they also have a way to insure somethig based on declaired value. check into it.
i also believe that it is a customer owned business cause i get statements that you would expect if you were an invester and one time i got a check on a year that they didn't have to pay much out.
oh and one time they did screw up. i had a trailor insured, the wheel flew off in the middle of the desert and the adjuster had it listed under "liability" the company said it was "a collision with the road" and wasn't covered
after i talked at length with my agent , they rewrote the pollicy correctly and made it retroactive.
some times you get what you pay for i guess

Yea well that company was actually more expensive than my NOW insurance company Progressive. We had Homeowners and Auto insurance thru Country Companies so we were getting discounts on both... Not anymore!! Realized we could save a ton by switching and actually receive great service.

I have had stuff stolen. Only $2000. Now I go with basic audio.

Insurance companies suck. I have never had insurance.

All my friends have been paying up the rear for insurance, and when they needed it they weasel their way outta paying for it.
