Well you've been waiting, I got her on the road again as of Friday morning. Went and took some pics for you today. they didn't come out the best but they actually hide the blemishes in her paint. needs a bit of a respray, but its close to 1 color. I noticed driver fender is a slightly different white.

 

Congrats!! Looking good Jinxed, that's a step up from the FB. Please tell more about your acquisition of this fine Jem. How many miles, How much you paid (wink wink), what you had to fix, how you passed smog , what your plans are with it?

Keeping the FB, I still love her. But at the moment the suspention needs to be redone. I plan on putting a Re speed Rack and pinion kit, 3 link and panhard bar, coil overs, polly busings. Don't know what shocks I'm going with yet. LSD or welded diff with 4.44 gears. light weight flywheel. FC tranny (I don't know if its S4 or S5) She will be back. and better than ever.

I got the T2 for taking over maintence at my girlfireds house. Me and her landlord have always got along. He use to drive this T2 but he got older got a more "practical" car and gave this to his son. His son is a Honda/Acura fan he drives a turbo'd RSX. Its a nice car but not half as cool as the T2. So he let it sit. Willie (my GF's landlord) made me a deal. I excepted and here I am with a T2. It drives very nice. interiors mostly intact and in good shape. 8 out of 10.

I found the ruff idle issue. it was a vaccume leak. Idle is steady and sounds awsome. I can actually hear other peoples cars now. Cops cant hear me coming anymore.

Also engine has about 8500 miles and car has about 150,000 ish miles.

I would, but I spent all my moneys on getting this car leagal to drive for the next couple weeks. I need to put some miles on it though get her broken back in. I havent even seen her full potetial.

BTW: car has a FCD, and a duel 2.5" catback. quetest car I've owned ever. and the best tone. man I love the sound of a turbo spoolin up. I cant beleive I never owned a turbo car untill now. But it being a turbo rotary makes it worth the wait. It was suppose to come with a boost controller also, but I think his son put it in the RSX. O well. I should learn more before I start fiddling with it. and I need a boost gauge. my stock one stoped acting retarded, but now goes like half way up. I have no clue what the boost is going too.

It took all I had not to race this honda hatch yesterday. It was on Hwy 26 where there's almost always a cop. but he kept accelrating and letting off trying to get me to take off. He would of been smoked thats for sure. sure enuff there was no cop I could of got away with it but I didn't wanna risk it. not too mention there were quite a few other cars on the road. I don't like acting a fool when others can get hurt/die.

Gas gauge is telling me its slightly rich. I havent even been driving it as hard as I drive my FB. I was constantly running in 4th on the freeway still getting 20mpg. Could be the lack of accessories. that made the differance. I'm riding in 5th in the T2 just becuase the damb dash wont stop telling me to shift up. Tells me to shift up in 5th gear. WTF. I'm going to mod it to say speed up instead.

I'm not ******* on all hondas. Some are very quick....in a strait line....If he can get it to hook. but most are slow kids with even slower cars. I've always had a predjudice against those honda hatches. I've only seen one that was alright looking. I'd never own one. I like to half *** beat them then refuse to go again. cause its not worth the gas just to make them cry. I hate when honda kids cry.

I wasn't going to modify the T2 much, but now I just don't think I can help myself. I'll be doing some studying. I'll be getting a FMIC asap. I hate the intercooler on top of the engine. I doubt I can afford a V mount. I've been tossing around ditching the power steering and AC, but I kind of like the way it feels. I just really want the open engine bay like my FB has. I think I will ditch the AC, I'm sure one or the other has to go for a front mount anyway. Then I think I'll get a water injection system, some kind of engine management, bigger injectors, MSD or Crain box, and raise the boost. that sould keep me around 2 grand ish in parts. Probably have a manual boost controler, and find as much used parts as I can.

Can anyone tell me how much boost I can run and keep this exhaust (duel 2.5" catback) I really like the tone and sound. I enjoy being able to hear everything besides my loud *** exhaust. all the bends look mandrel bent. I'm willing to pull cats, and run a custom down pipe. I'm not looking for tons of power, but more.

No boost gauge yet, I cant afford 30 bucks at the moment. I cant even afford 20 for a cheepo ebay one. They have "nitrous" brand boost gauges for 20 bucks at harbor frieght. Probably a waist of 20 bucks and even more unreliable as the stock gauge.

 

I'll race you in the qtr with my 69 superbee.... It will be on the road in about 6month.. 1900lbs, 540HP.......

Or give me to the end of summer and my 1600lbs, Monster J-port T2 track car will be done and we'll have a go in that...

And i am always down to race you in my catalina, its pretty much bone stock minus some bolt on and exhaust work, i might still take ya, with its 5600lbs ***...lol...ok probably not

Or you can race my wifes 63 Gp, its got a nice bored GTO 389

Hell i'll race you in my suburban for ***** and giggles, we'll call it a "practice run" though....(it does have a hypertech chip in it though, and that gave it many horsey's)

o boy.jinx..................i bought 1 .7 rtek ,and 750 s . now 11 mpg , and blowing fire out ***. rich better than lean.a stock ecu , injectors .and pump...are gonna be lean .over stock psi. 5ish/ safc on way 125 on e bay . but no wideband ,yet. out of dough. relotacting batt. this week end . geting ready 4 front mount.
