Appology

Appology
I just want to appologize to all in the NW Section for a thread I recentely made. I didn't think it would offend anybody thinking that i was bashing hard on a certain company.Yes i explained what had happened to me in the fullest, yet i don't believe I was out of place. I felt i was pretty reasonable with my actions and wording. I can think of other threads that were not as rationable, yet to the point on feelings. I do know there is a section dedicated to threads like that, yet I also believe that since the certain company was DBA out of the Great NW, i figured it should be in this section. When some company treats people the way this company did, I would like others to see it so they don't get treated the same way. I am not the only person that has had problems lately as these threads shows. . I would also like to appologize for the sig. that I recently had. I will be changing it to a more suitable one without a company's name on it so others will not get offended. I hope all of you who thought my posts were out of line will forgive me for my foolishness, yet I also hope that all who didn't think they were out of line to let me know for my sanity sake. I am a persistant person by nature and one to make things happen.
So speak up, I am open for all opinions on my actions. I just ask to keep it a bickering free thread in order to make life easier on the moderator that has been working her butt off to make this region as good as it is. Thank you .

No need to appologize if you called it the way you saw it. Let people judge for themselves. It might be for or against you, at least you let it out in the open for others to see

you shouldn't have to apologize for your thread, and no one should be offended by a very informative thread such as yours. imo it was a very good thing you posted about yours, people need to know that sort of thing... threads like that make it obvious that these companies aren't flawless as most people think... in fact, i'm offended by this thread, no apology should be needed lol

Its nice to see this... but I think you were fine, there are other people here that have anti-company logos and sigs... namely to honda... but eh..
I just hope the best for you, since you help me, and all of us so much. Thanks again, I just hope someday I will be able to repay you.

I'm not appologizing for what I have said. Just appologizing if it has offended people, yet not companies. you know what I mean. I do respect the forum admins on what they have to deal with, so all my finger pointing will be in the forum section "good guy, bad guy" where they belong.

Ehh... I think whats being said is this... kettlman is apologizing for the manner in which he brought up this subject to the forums, not for bringing it up, its information that needs to be known. The way that it was presented might have offended people and thats what the apology is for. No one wants him to apologize for telling people about his experiances... I could rant on about sony for a week or so on how poorly they run thier business... either way its somewhat respectable for kettlman to do this, because of all the flak that the forum admins/mods might have been getting from this. No reason to blow this out of perspective and bring in other things to this either....

Read that then start posting and useing the web. I will say this again like above, I didn't think I needed to say "Real men don't say sorry when they offend someone with what they say." Cause see I was talking about this situation in which Kettleman said something which offended someone. So it's not like I don't say sorry when I do something that actually means something. Words are words. If you get offened so easily by what someone says after talking to you and/or having you do something for them and you didn't want them to talk bad about yourself, then it is your job to fix it. So I don't think Kettleman should even of made this thread. He shouldn't have to say sorry to Dan out in the open. Thats what PM's are for.
But I don't know anything. I am just another opinion out in the crowd. And if this offends anyone you can PM me.

Meh... if something was posted out in the open like this then if an apology is needed it should be in the same manner as the first.
Either way its done and over with... and hope to see kettleman out there in a 7 kicking butt again

BuGS , I agree with you 100%the only thing is that it wasn't meant as an appology towards Dan. It was towards any other members that were offended by the post. I really don't think very many people were offended by it at all. Yet there might be one or 2.

Jesus Christe Bugs, it was a joke. Good God do you understand a joke? You made a comment (jokingly) about how 'real men' don't have to apologize and I just made a crack that obviously you must not be married. Maybe I should have put a little smiley after it so you would 'get' it.
Does that help?
If you decide to inject levity into a conversation you should expect a comical response. Chill out, get off the 'instruction parade'. Just because I have been here for a few months doesn't mean I don't know something about the posting on the web.
I have been an administrator and board moderator for a website that has over 25,000 members so I know how to post on the web. Trust me, I have 'experience' with this kind of stuff. The site I write for has 10 times the traffic of this one.
And just for the record, I don't think Kettleman has anything to apologize for. I don't know Atkins all that well but their business practices (or at least their customer service) are somewhat suspect if he won't even talk to a long standing customer about a problem he had with his car. Even ifKettleman ran the car into the ground the fact that Atkins wouldn't even discuss his problem with him is poor to say the least. He never should just say 'Well, you must have abused the engine'; it is a nice easy copout.
Was his response overboard? I don't know, that is up to the forum mods and the people in his board community to decide. If he thinks so, then yes, he should apologize. Real men do apologize, but they only do it when they really think they have done something wrong or excessive.

Obviously I misread your post. I thought you were joking about never apologizing. Obviously you were serious about never apologizing. Do you honestly believe that?
Real men DO apologize when they are obviously wrong. Part of accepting responsibility for your actions sometimes is trying to make restitution for your mistakes. I have a word for someone who does something wrong and isn't man enough to admit it.
Chickenshit.
I'm not saying Kettleman is wrong in his posting here. I am saying that if he believes something he did was wrong or offensive then there is nothing wrong with apologizing. Sticking to a losing proposition just because you are too inflexible to admit that you may be wrong is just stupid. It causes fights, causes divorces and makes friends enemies. I suppose you have never offended someone without meaning to. I also suppose you would blow a friendship rather than offer a simple apology for offending that person. I guess that is accepting the responsibility but it seems pretty pig headed and gets you absolutely nothing.

And see this is a opinion (opinion = words) not an action. So, if you read my post once more you will see that real men do apologize when they do (do is an action) something wrong like kill someones cat. But when someone says "your cat is ugly" that is an opinion and real men shouldn't go back on there word after 4 or 5 ppl were to respond back with an opposite opinion like "No man, that cat is cool looking". So, we do agree on Real men apologize for actions, but disagree on real men don't apologize for opions I guess.
