Description:

I recently found a friend of mine a 1994 Chaste White on black Touring with 29k original miles. Vehicle is a 2 owner, my friend being the 3rd if he decides to keep it. I don't think that he is going to end up keeping the car. He ultimately wants a faster Rx7 and I convinced him that this car is too nice to completely modify. It is lightly modified(from what I have seen) with- HKS Fcon, boost gauge, turbo timer, DP, MP and cat back, Racing Beat cool charge intake, Pettit boost orifice(never seen this), a metal AST.

Vehicle is in overall excellent condition. There is one small scratch near the gas tank release. Interior is in great shape, but has minor wear on the bolster.

The previous owner provided all of the paperwork from original owner- Window sticker, original bill of sale, manuals, etc. Car will also come with the stock DP, Cat and cat back exhaust.

I also had him order all new fluids for the car, spark plugs. Will be swapping the tranny and diff fluids for Redline MT90, Valvoline 20w-50 VR1, new oil filter, brake fluid, etc.

At this point, he wanted me to gauge interest on here prior to listing it on BaT. I personally would like it to go to a form member if possible prior to it being listed on BaT. If anyone is interested, please PM me directly. I am listing it for $70k based off of the last white BaT that just sold, but please if you are interested let me know where you would be on the car.

I want it so badly. I really hope a forum member gets it that will simply keep it, and just leave it just as is.

Wish I had the money right now, that truly is a grail car. Only foreseeable upgrade I could see, potentially, is OEM dual oil coolers and a PFC. Man. Such a beautiful car.

If I were him, I'd keep this car and buy a second one. Too nice of a car to modify, and too nice of a car to sell. That's just me . GLWS!! Hopefully this car gets driven and not shoved in the back of some 30 car collection.

Ha, ironic. I literally had the same conversation with him yesterday. Trying to replicate any FD in this condition with under 30k miles will be next to impossible. Trust that I am pushing for him to keep it.

Not too many of these left. Someone on the forum should pick this beauty up before it goes to BaT.

Quick update. New spark plugs and fluids have arrived. Need to find a nice day to change everything out, have an alignment completed and perform a compressions test. Will keep everyone posted as I complete everything.

Ok, sorry for the delay in updates. The weather and life in general has not been working in my direction. I was able to take a lot of high resolution photos of the car in the garage, outside, Cold/Hot start videos. We were also able to take it to our local Rotary mechanic(Phalanx Performance) for a compression test. There was also a small oil leak that we addressed on the oil cooler line. Needed a new crush washer to fix. I was also able to run a Carfax on the vehicle which is included in the link below.

Below is a link to the photos/videos:

https://photos.app.goo.gl/Sfc6693R9XGrYq3a9

After speaking with Chad, he is going to move forward with selling the car unfortunately. I hope to get the car into the dealership this week(weather pending) to have the fluids swapped out, alignment and safety. Will also have to do a shakedown on the car to make sure everything is in working order. Will update the thread as I make progress. I am reaching out to all parties that were interested. I would love to get this car re-homed to a forum member instead of BaT. If anyone is interested please reach out to me via PM.

Thanks,

Eric

Hi Eric

I apparently do not have enough history in the group to send you a PM. Is there another way to reach you?

Thanks

Kevin

Another update-

We had a minor break in the weather earlier this week and car is back at Phalanx. All fluids will be swapped out, oil changed, spark plugs. Ernie said the electrodes on the original plugs were almost non existent.

We also made the decision to remove the turbo timer, HKS FCON and Pettit boost orifice and replace the 3" midpipe with the OE cat to keep boost stock. Should hopefully be able to pick it back up early next week and will be ready for its next forever home.

I can’t afford it. Every time I get close to buying one the price increases. Back in 2015 I had 20k but needed 25k. Back in 2018 I had 30 but needed 45.

it’s always just out of reach…what am I doing wrong lol

^^^if it makes you feel any better; there are some of us who can, but are wise enough not to.

Often people have a negative perception of not getting what they want, but in reality are actually receiving an opportunity to take the better path leading to their place of blessing. It may even require dwelling in the valley under the shadow of death before you get there. Almost like there’s somebody wiser who’s looking out for their best interest long term. 🤔

it will be sold sooner or later at a higher price though - bump

*UPDATE*- Ok, so received the good news that all fluids have been replaced, oil and plugs. We had all work performed at our local Rotary shop here in St. Louis with Phalanx Performance. Car will need to be detailed, but is otherwise ready to go. I will be reaching out to all parties that have shown interest over the weekend.

Whoever picks this up will be one lucky person though the prices of FD's are now costing an arm and a leg. I would of never imagined FD prices being this high. Maybe it may be time to sell mine.

I was fortunate enough to find my grail car a few years back but have always had a soft spot for CW.

I hope this car goes to a good home, it is truly special. My crystal ball thinks it will be on BaT in the future (but I'm hoping it doesn't).

*UPDATE*- Adding photos of the car after being cleaned.

I have a few parties interested that are relatively local. Hoping one of them is able to take this car home with them this month.
