I spent all day removing my engine and when I go to disconnect the ECU I find this weird thing hacked into it. So what is this? Aliend device, CIA tracking chip?.
anyways here's a pic. I know that it's not originally like this, I think it's some kind of "performance chip" seems like one or various of the previous owners screwed with the car

 

No idea. Might be a fuel cut defensor though that appears to be an NA ECU. Whatever it is, you can probably remove it.

 

yes it's N/A, im going to get rid of it. right now i cant get the water pump base off lol what a pain.

It doesn't have an afc or something like that in it does it?

 

its more than likely one of those performance ebay chips that guarantees 12HP and 10MPG if thats the case go ahead and chunk it

 

Yeah that's what I thought, one of those dam ebay chips. I'm getting rid of it.
I'm going to use the NA engine and swap it in a vw bug, get a TII for the rx7.
