If you don't drive the car in the winter, look for a set of summer hi-performance or ultra-hi-performance. If you drive the car when it gets cold, a set of hi-performance all-seasons. GENERALLY SPEAKING, the more you pay the better the performance, depends on your budget.
If your new to tire buying, TIRERACK.com is excellent information source and IIRC a sponsor of this forum. I've bought tires from them and been happy.

And please don't street race. Not cool.

In responsible moderation, nothing.

If you won't be driving during winter... there are two sets of tires that I have personal experience with that I like to recommend people:

Dunlop Star Specs.. Awesome ultra high performance summer tires without breaking the bank on R compounds. Sure they will only last you a year or a little more.. but well worth it if you don't mind.

Another good set of tires that perform really well in the dry and pretty good in wet are Bridgestone RE760s. These are more of a 3 season tire but still put down in summer. I have not met a disappointed owner of those yet.

Been using the Falken ziex for my s5 TII. Stock rims 205/55/16. Factory reccommends V rating for higher speeds
