why wont my FC 10TH AE start?
My 88 RX7 10th AE just wont start. I replaced the battery, then replaced the alternator, and it still wont start. when i jumped the car it turned on after a few minutes with ease but when i turned it back off (after letting it run for 30 minutes) it wouldn't start again. It clicked until the power was gone as i watched all my lights die out on the interior. Now it will not crank at all. unless i get it jumped again.

When the car is turned on i get no errors. It idles weird, and when initially turned on sometimes the RPMs climb steadily then they go bk down to idle. It stays running when started. when i turn it off, then try to turn it on it doesnt turn back on. My cables are tight, and i bought new clamps. Also a New battery and alternator. i don't know much on working on car so the guy i bought it from installed the alternator. The belt seems tight though. (It was hell gettin around the bar thing over the engine.).
@satch
It acted like it was going to start and turned over, then started clicking, and slowly the electronics died out and it wouldnt do anything. it was like everyhing slowwweeedddd dowwwwwnn too. the cranking noise got slower and weaker, the lights turn off slowly, then theres no power. . I had ran it a couple times after receiving jumps, and it ran perfect every-time. Its just starting it without getting a jump that's the problem.

If you can get the car started after it being jumpered then measure the voltage output of the alternator as the car idles. The voltage output wire should be Black and "bolted" to the alternator. Voltage ought to be about 14 volts when running. One of the possibilities is the battery is not charging properly for the reason stated above or something else thus making it hard to start. If you can get the car to start up each and every time the car is jumpered then you need to focus on why the battery is to weak to do the job by itself w/o any outside help.
